So I was doing a College quest and was basically in a place full of casters, about halfway through I enter a medium sized room with stairs and a balcony on one side, up there I see an enemy so I start casting and the place goes nuts, it was just a blur of fire, lightning and frost. A short while later the place went quiet and I surveyed the carnage. The fight consisted of myself using frostbite and sparks, my summoned storm atronach, Lydia with a staff of fireball, 1 fire mage, 1 frost mage, 2 storm mages, 1 conjuring mage and 1 summoned frost atronach. Madness. I'm shocked we both survived.

Hmm. I feel i'm underpowered at level 11 with my sneaky archer type. I don't think i was training my sneak and archery enough. Sneak attacks are good but when it gets to the "bosses" of the levels and random animals out in the wild i get crushed when they see me.

Thinking of levelling destruction magic for those situations. So my main focus would be Archery, sneak, Destruction and maybe Illusion for misdirect.


I guess i'm just annoyed that i die a little to much, hell i die in Skyrim more than i EVER died in Dark Souls.....somethings not right here.

I'm also starting to use poisons on my bow with the sneak shots, those help a bit on bosses (use paralysis or slow and it lets you get a bunch of arrow shots off).

I'm also trying to figure out if I'm going dual wield or sword/board for those up close situations. I'm leaning towards sword because the dual daggers just don't seem to work well for me (granted I haven't picked the perks for dual wield yet). I am a bit more weak once I get to melee, but with Lydia as a "tank" she helps keep them off me at first.

I ran into a strange glitch. My face disappeared and it looks like I'm the hollowman.

It happens when you wear these two items together:

Wearing the Arch mages robes and the Morokei mask together will make your head disappear.

Yep it sure does.

Im level 8 & dual wield is cool but I take alot of damage when hit, I think I have to practice moving around more or just switch to sword & board more often.

It happens when you wear these two items together:

Wearing the Arch mages robes and the Morokei mask together will make your head disappear.

This also happens when you do the two helmet glitch.

A Forsworn Helmet and any other helm, mask, circlet, etc. can be worn at the same time (and gain full benefits of both). Most of the time only the Forsworn helmet will show and you'll have no head underneath it. Depending on what order you equip the helmets in, you can get a mask to show so it looks normal.

Anyone going with alteration? I've already committed to a stealthy, one-handed, alteration character. Right now I'm really digging buffing up with Oakflesh before each encounter. Can't wait for Stoneflesh.

I like how you can pick up a book briefly and obtain a new quest/strength, etc. without having to read the thing.

I've actually started using poisons/status effects as an addition to my bows and I've focused in on leveling my magics as a defense when things get close and nasty. I've supported this by adding regen mana to my armors that I have to keep me able to heal/attack. So my magic assassin build is still viable. Still searching around for stuff to see if I can recreate my armor setup from Oblivion with invisibility on everything thus making me essentially a ghost

I still have my daggers and enchanted Axe as the backup plan if necessary
