Ok so I bought the armory for my house in wind helm but I encountered a problem. When I put some armor on the mannequins, the mannequin becomes invisible except for the unarmed parts. Is there a fix to this?

Legitimately addicted.
This is so much more fun than when I first tried to play this. Now I know what the **** is going on. I know, for example, what a greatsword is and that I can't use my other hand if I use one (I might be stupid).
Played it for 4 hours or so tonight and loved every second. Except when the Frost Troll killed me. That I didn't love.
Steel Sword/Fire has been my main weapon combo so far. I run up to people, stab them, then back away and blast 'em with fire. Repeat until dead.
I have a horse. His name is Horse the Awesome. You can't name them in the game, obviously, but that's what I call him.
So damn much fun. I actually considered selling it after my first playthrough attempt. But buying the strategy guide to really give me a clue as to how this game works helped so much. Now I love it. I wish they made the house in Whiterun better. I got other houses but the one in Whiterun is so convenient. Not only is it like in the middle of the map it's located in the most convenient area. Right inside the gate. Not only that you got war maidens right next door, belathor at the end of the street, the erbalist near him, the stands near them, the inn across the street from your house and the other smith up near the sky forge. Not to mention belathor has the most money out of all the general store traders (that I have found). Same goes for war maidens. If you need enchanting done go to dragons reach, potion making in your house as well as cooking, smithing right next door.
I just wish the house had more things to get/upgrade. But for me it's the most convenient set up in the game. Anyone else feel this way?

I seriously almost rage quit this game after getting lost in some cave at the start going after the golden claw...why the hell can't I fast travel out of dungeons!
EDIT: I also think this kind of game isn't for me. I tend to grab everything (wooden ladles, chamber pots, etc) and then I get weighed down, dump a bunch of crap, rinse, repeat. Not to mention that I suck at combat and the voice...actors...talk...so...slow! I tried Oblivion and got distracted and never returned. I'm hoping this can "hook" me.

Just stop picking up useless things. You pick up weapons armor potions and books, as well as valuable stuff. You can leave brooms behind lol.Comment

You have to wait for a new patch. On the plus side, UESP mentions that there is also a glitch where that mannequin can magically have a full set of armor on it.Comment

Smithing is awesome. I'm not gonna lie. Such a great way to come up with some gold. I finally bought my first house last night. Next big purchase is gonna be a damn horse, though I kind of like trekking along on foot when exploring areas initially.
