Ok so I bought the armory for my house in wind helm but I encountered a problem. When I put some armor on the mannequins, the mannequin becomes invisible except for the unarmed parts. Is there a fix to this?

      Legitimately addicted.

This is so much more fun than when I first tried to play this. Now I know what the **** is going on. I know, for example, what a greatsword is and that I can't use my other hand if I use one (I might be stupid).

Played it for 4 hours or so tonight and loved every second. Except when the Frost Troll killed me. That I didn't love.

Steel Sword/Fire has been my main weapon combo so far. I run up to people, stab them, then back away and blast 'em with fire. Repeat until dead.

I have a horse. His name is Horse the Awesome. You can't name them in the game, obviously, but that's what I call him.

So damn much fun. I actually considered selling it after my first playthrough attempt. But buying the strategy guide to really give me a clue as to how this game works helped so much. Now I love it. I may even have to buy Oblivion whenever I get done with this one...

I wish they made the house in Whiterun better. I got other houses but the one in Whiterun is so convenient. Not only is it like in the middle of the map it's located in the most convenient area. Right inside the gate. Not only that you got war maidens right next door, belathor at the end of the street, the erbalist near him, the stands near them, the inn across the street from your house and the other smith up near the sky forge. Not to mention belathor has the most money out of all the general store traders (that I have found). Same goes for war maidens. If you need enchanting done go to dragons reach, potion making in your house as well as cooking, smithing right next door.

I just wish the house had more things to get/upgrade. But for me it's the most convenient set up in the game. Anyone else feel this way?

I seriously almost rage quit this game after getting lost in some cave at the start going after the golden claw...why the hell can't I fast travel out of dungeons!

EDIT: I also think this kind of game isn't for me. I tend to grab everything (wooden ladles, chamber pots, etc) and then I get weighed down, dump a bunch of crap, rinse, repeat. Not to mention that I suck at combat and the voice...actors...talk...so...slow! I tried Oblivion and got distracted and never returned. I'm hoping this can "hook" me.

EDIT II: Was that Col. Tigh as General "what's his name" in the intro? It sure as hell sounded like him.

Just stop picking up useless things. You pick up weapons armor potions and books, as well as valuable stuff. You can leave brooms behind lol.

You have to wait for a new patch. On the plus side, UESP mentions that there is also a glitch where that mannequin can magically have a full set of armor on it.

Smithing is awesome. I'm not gonna lie. Such a great way to come up with some gold. I finally bought my first house last night. Next big purchase is gonna be a damn horse, though I kind of like trekking along on foot when exploring areas initially.

How do you bed bitches (aka marriage)?

Head over to the Temple of Mara in Riften, buy an Amulet from the priest. He can sometimes be found in the boarding house in the middle of town.

Here is a list of people you can marry. Might be some quest spoilers in the list due to some only marrying you once you've done something for them.

My problem at first was that this game is so deep, that I didnt know what was useless and what wasnt

I agree, though I didn't worry about it much, there was enchanting in the house, a forge next door and enchanting in Dragonsreach. The slight inconvenience was more than acceptable for the convenient merchants and location.

Note to self-avoid taking on giants and mammoths at level 4-they'll just stomp you into a big mud puddle. Glad I finally got Lydia-she can help with the inventory issues until I get enough money to get the house in Whiterun.
