    Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Just started last night with a nord named Leonidas. Didn't get to put much time into the game last night. I got attacked by two wolves and after killing them I checked the bodies and one of them had a gold coin on them, thought that was strange. Hopefully I'll get more time in over the weekend.

I cleared the Silent Moons bounty, found Amren's sword, and went through the mine beside the Guardian Stones last night along with smithing as much as I could and chopping a ton of wood. Lydia is now a pack mule.

I always look at those situations as the wolf ate an another adventurer and happened to swallow a gold coin...I find spiders with gems and stuff alot as well.

The Greybeards calling me freaked me out last night. I completely forgot about that part, but once they rumbled across my surround sound I was wondering what the hell it was, haha.

Yeah, it freaked me out too. I kept looking around for something that was getting ready to beat the crap out of me. The one thing that I see with Skyrim is the world feels much more alive and breathing than Oblivion. I think Bethesda did a much better job with the questing this time too.

I wonder who I could have ticked off-someone hired an assassin from the Dark Brotherhood to take me out. All I've really killed so far is a bunch of bandits in forts. Got Smithing up to 50-have to say-elven armor looks a lot better than scaled.

Part of me wants to start over, but I feel like if I restart after 70+ hours I'll lose interest. But temptation is definitely there.

I'm happy with my character, I got to read about how a lot of you guys build yours so I went in knowing how I wanted to approach the game. I'm still pretty early on, level 27-28. I did the Thieves Guild quest last night where I had to go to Markarth and do the charcoal rubbing.

I also did the iron dagger smithing trick last night and leveled smithing up to around 89. It's nice having my Elven bow upgraded so much now. I only had to kill 2 people last night without my bow. I spent around 8000 gold getting my smithing leveled up though lol.

Are you guys just buying all the leather and iron you can find and then do the daggers?

I had that happen, too. I don't know why.

                      Regardless, he's very dead now.

I went to Whiterun and bought any Iron Ignots/Pelts/Leather/Leather Strips my wife had, then bought all the War Maiden had, plus all the guy in her shop had. Then I ran up to the Skyforge and bought all he had. Forged and sold everything at the forge by the War Maiden's house, then fast traveled to Riften and bought all that the blacksmith had there and forged and sold there. Then I fast traveled back to Whiterun, waited a few hours if I needed to and started the process over. Like the guys said in this thread, easy to level up. I would have taken it all the way to 100 but I ran out of money lol. I forged Iron Daggers first, then whatever left over leather I had I made leather helmets and braces.

                          Cheesers...

I can't wait to get my pc in... I'm going to restart, even though I have my old saves, with Daedric Armor and Weaponry, and most houses.

I think I'm going to go the evil route, get into the Dark Brotherhood early on, and then the thieves guild. Perhaps vice versa. Can't wait, either way.

So explain this, as I don't know how the leveling works...

I'm Level 10, beat the dragon at Whiterun, and start the trek to the Greybeards. I fight my first troll (not too bad), the requisite wolves and spiders on the way, and then when I start the stairs, BOOM! Frost bears, frost trolls, snow cats, and I pretty much use all my potions on the way up. All of a sudden the game says I'm ready for these beasts? I'm now scared to go anywhere!

Yeah, I remember sprinting after a certain point because I couldn't handle the troll or the bear myself. I had to leave Lydia as bait so I could make a clean escape.

My Dark Elf successfully destroyed the Stormcloak army early on in his adventure. He took one look in Windhelm and took pity on all the other Dark Elves that were being mistreated.

After that he decided to do even more good deeds and joined The Companions guild, but then learned about their sinister secret (I don't know how to spoiler tag)

As he got used to his affliction, he fell more to the Dark Side and joined the Dark Brotherhood. He already killed Farengar due to his smug nature, and slaughtered the entire town of Rorikstead, except for the children, who now have to live in a world without their parents.

I got fully upgraded Dragon Armour, and a Legendary Enchanted glass Sword, which does 8 points of frost damage (low enchanting level).
