I just started messing with the Arcane Enchanters last night. I wish I had leveled that up when I was leveling my Smithing up. I forged me some Dragon Scale armor last night and improved it to the max I could, but it just doesn't hold the extra perks like my Dark Brotherhood and Theives Guild armor do. So from what I understand, I just need to enchant the armor to get those extra perks like carrying bonuses right? I don't have a soul trap spell, so I guess I need to get one of those too so I can fill the gems. Is that spell easy to find?

Yup i got it from the mage in dragonsreach. Completely forgot i had it though, i have so many spells that are way under used.

You can also buy weapons that soul trap.

Can't you just buy a crappy weapon that has soul trap then remove the enchantment. Then put it on one of your nicer weapons & use a greater soul gem for much better effectiveness.

Yes, but you lose the original/crappy weapon in the process. I haven't messed with enchanting much with my character because the enchanted items I find useful, I also don't want to lose (ie: guild armor).

Finished up the Dark Brotherhood quest line yesterday, very cool.

I am constantly amazed with the sheer amount of work these guys put into this game. Like finishing the DB questline

I kept thinking it was over and they just kept coming up with more awesomeness.

Speaking of the DB story line does anyone know if it's possible to kill the emperors sister while she is addressing the crowd without having all the guards attack you? I tried it a few different times and couldn't manage it. Now I have a bounty on my head in Solitude.

The thing that made me go "damn, they've thought of everything" was when

you first get the sealed letter from the guy wanting you to assassinate the emperor. If you open the letter to read it before giving it to Astrid, she remarks about it.

You didn't drop the statue on the both of them? I had more problems with the Argonian Assassin coming in and causing a scene when I was sneaking away.

I'm so close to being able to make dragon armor. But now that I have daedric armor I don't know if I really want it. I guess I could give it to my follower and sell the rest because I have a **** load of bones and scales.

I bought that spell from one of the many Jarls mages.

I kill all the Jarl's mages. That smug one in Whiterun deserved it, and the rest have been killed on principle.

How do you buy houses in other holds? Is it the same as in Whiterun where you have to do something for the Jarl or is there like a Treasurer I can talk to?

You have to do work for the Jarl or his steward.

I know I am late to the party, but I popped this in last Friday and this game officially owns my soul. My job and marriage are in jeopardy because of this game. I have played for 34 hours and I have just barely scratched the surface. What a great game!

Managed to lose j'zargo forever. Went into a place for a daedric quest, and I accidentally left him in there when I was zoomed out by one of the daedric gods. I had forgotten to save inside the temple so i couldnt go back to another save. He's now trapped for eternity in the Kilkreath temple.
