If you're 'on the fence' about this game (as I was), give it a rent (Gamefly, Blockbuster, Redbox, etc) before pulling the trigger...

...I thought it was going to be a "Resident Evil meets Drake's Fortune" kinda game, but this game def disappointed me...it's worth a play, but the replay value isn't there for me.

I needed something to keep me busy....
BUT, with a PLETHORA of titles to come out in the next couple months (i.e., Battlefield 3, Call of Duty MW3, Drake's, Assassins Creed, & NBA 2K12), it's not worth my $60.00 - these above games have waaaay too much to offer in the upcoming months....it's gonna be a great couple months!!!!

I'll be sending this back to Gamefly soon, just not what I expected at all. It's one thing if I'm buying weapons from a weapon shop. Kind of goofy I have to pay for pipes, paddles, etc. that are just laying around on the ground or up against walls. Glad I didn't buy this as I was originally planning to.

I believe those are the re-sell values.

Still having fun playing the game unlike Negative Nancy. I can analyze all I want, bottom line I keep playing way too much. Take it for what it's worth.

Thanks Dakkon, I feel like a fool. I thought that all weapons needed to be purchased. I haven't played a lot and only a few side missions.

Game Does have its flaws but i still continue to play it either way and am having a good time

It would be a lot more appealing to me if it wasn't so "gamey." Why they had to steep the game so deeply in RPG conventions I'll never know.

They had an opportunity to do something really cool, but this ain't it.

Well personally if it wasn't in the RPG realm I never would have even thought about buying it. Still haven't opened yet as I'm deep into Deus Ex.

Same here, I was not interested until I found out it was an RPG type game.

Now I am definitely interested. I am gonna pick it up on Steam soon, and by then they will have patched it some!

It's not a bad game by any means. It's just not great. Stupid things hold it back.

I ended up finishing last night so that I could send it back to get Gears next week, and the story was pretty stupid towards the end. Granted I didn't get it for the story.

If you are planning to play alone, I wouldn't even bother. I tried that for awhile (about 70% of the game), but it got incredibly difficult. Co-op is where the game shines. Although the no split-screen ticked me off.

I played through Deus Ex before this and the two aren't even in the same stratosphere if that's what you are hoping for. Still it kept me occupied and I enjoyed most of it.

Hmmm... thanks for the impressions. I'm mostly a solo player, although I'm not opposed to online co-op by any means.

I swear I am running through the sewers to save my own life. Screw killing zombies, I was just trying to make it out of there alive! Just got hooked for about 3 hours straight, couldn't put it down.

I picked this up for PC yesterday on my way home from work.
You know how you know I've been playing too much of The Show(not lately though...too busy at work ) and not enough of any other game?
I couldn't even make it to the storage room at the beginning of the game.
I already gotta find a weapon!

The game looks gorgeous so far, but there is something I don't like already...the money. WhyTF would I need money on an island during a zombie apocalypse?

But as I get into the game more maybe there will be a reason.
