Replying to myself to continue a thought related to my post...

You know, I'd pay a couple bucks for a collection of interchanges. What line do you guys draw for DLC in this game? What are your expectations (without getting too fire and brimstone about the evils of DLC please) and what would you hope for and pay for to add to this game?

A couple of things for me that immedietly come to mind:

          Transportation Planner Pack
A handful of designed interchanges and overpasses
Maybe some negligible discounts on related costs like upgrading roads

          City Event Coordinator
          • Unlocks a handful of events for the different buildable venues.
          • As part of this pack, design your own event at the SimCity website.
          • Bus/street car ads
          • Ads for sides of buildings
          • Opt in for events from other players

There are some things that I expect they'll introduce that will be purchasable or your could attain them by hitting goals/milestones, such as...

          Expanded Regions
          • New regions with a variety of sizes
          • Larger city plots
          • Connectivity options between your regions on the same server

          Upgrade path for a region
          • Upgrade the 3-town region all the way to 16+.

The last one I'd really love... take a 3-city region from 3 to 5 to 7 to 10 to 16 (and larger). Maybe some smaller incremental steps in there as you go (great work slots, etc). Customization of the placement of new city plots and great work locations would be neat. This is the kind of thing I could see them intending originally but deciding against due to time constraints

As part of this customization I'd hope we could bring some of the newer larger plots when they're finally introduced to some of the existing maps.

Join NA Server 4 East is where both OSvilles are on. Send me a request UTvol2121 and I can invite you to the OSville 2.

As iLLosophy1 posted though, OSville 2 is first come first serve to people not in OSville 1 which I don't believe you are.

Other things that help with getting skyscrapers are basic parks, they help boost happiness without land value. This is how to get high density, low wealth skyscrapers which is very good for a city just starting out. Also, lower the taxes. At one point I put taxes down to 5% for residential, commercial and industrial and the skycrapers started popping up instantly.

I have 650 elementary school students and only 40 in high school. I guess my population skews extremely young.

Also, does anyone know: if I place two ferry terminals on opposite sides of a river, will that provide transportation across the river, or does the ferry only bring sims in and out of the city?

Out of curiosity, what are everyone else's taxes set at in OSVille? Mine got up as high as 11% for some brackets at one point because of budget problems, but they've stabilized at 10% across the board. I do have some factories close up shop because of high taxes now and then, but demand for industry and residential is so high right now it hasn't really hurt me to keep taxes up.

Just lowered all my taxes because I'm banking with this expo center. Still no skyscrapers but I'm about to revamp an entire section of roads to plany a pro stadium. Lowered my taxes by 2-3 % across the board and still well in green.

Just finished for the night, I'm trying to limit my playing time! Made decent progress. Still want to figure out a way to fix my roads. I'm thinking my best bet is to save a ton of money and rebuild. I don't like how I sm set up.
