Yeah I am getting better at crafting. That appears to be the cheapest route when it comes to having good stuff without dropping 10K coin on armor or a weapon. Now that Viv has the revive people from the dead ability, my party is doing better. But the most coin I ever had at one point was 4,200. Guess I need to send them to go get gold more often.

I LOL everytime I find a piece of armor that have a powerful name and think I hit the jackpot just to find it out my current armor is way stronger then what I found.

Be careful. Most purple items and such may seem weak but have crafting spots and extra stats that make them much better than your current items even if it may not seem like it.

I think I've only bought 1 armor/weapon from a merchant. the rest I crafted or looted. I bought one of the bows that the vender in Skyhold sells. It does more damage than any I could craft at the moment, and it's abilities look quite nice. Still need to fill the rune slot, I just don't have any that can go into a bow, and I can't remove the one I had in my previous one sadly.

at one point I had 17,000 gold. I spent it all on schematics in Orlais and that Bow in skyhold. should be able to craft up some nice armor for the whole group now though, once i gather some more higher level materials that is needed.

In a bad way? I know this is a general statement and even worse of a question. But it's the fear of being completely overwhelmed that has stopped me from picking this up yet.

I stopped playing when the game overwhelmed me. It was actually moreso because my character became useless and deals no damage anymore. I respec'd and just focused on GTAV. It's still a great game. I just needed a break.

It is the classic game of "oooh let's see what's over here." Freakin' Fereldon just never ends and it's one map! If you're in no rush to finish this then you're in good shape. I honestly feel like I'll finish in spring sometime.

Bravo to Bioware for not holding things back for an expansion. The variety of landscapes and ruins and little nooks and crannies is amazing. Just exploring alone is a game in itself.

I roll with Blackwall, Cassandra and Solas. I'm a knight enchanter mage and destroying people. I'll post a pic and video of how my combat goes.

Knight Enchanter is no joke. Attacking gives you barrier with one of the powers. Use Fade Cloak followed by Fade Step (From Winter Tree) and you can explode unsuspecting enemies without them ever seeing you. Get into trouble fade step away and cast spells. I love how the class lets you melee and cast. Like the old Arcane Warrior class.

I miss equipping heavy armor and blade and shield from the arcane warrior class.

Me too. The light saber is fun, but nothing like using the armor and steel that you find. And it seems like thats all I find.

I think I read that one of the rare crafted material drops allow you to craft armor with no class restrictions.

Dorian. He is in the library at Skyhold if you side with the Templars. Came across a Choice Demon. Man I couldn't beat him for nothing. Everytime I would get his health low, he would just regenerate back to maximum rock armor health. So after trying for an hour, I said forget it, I won't kill you, just give me some riches, LOL.

He gives you the choice of riches, power or virgins.
