I'm almost finished Hinterlands and finally started some other areas (Just opened Oasis)
Might get back into it some tonight but probably not until Tuesday'ish.

I cannot stop playing this game. Never played a DA game before, read up a bit beforehand
so I get whats what. So much fun after 10 hours I turned off everything visually and wow games just even better, before it was just numbers and chaos in battles lol.

Hey guys...quick question for you all.

Its pretty early in the game and went to Stormcoast. My party is about a level 3 now. I ran into a 'rebel mage' that had an '8' underneath his name. It took me about 15 minutes to take this guy down. Ran into a bear and the same thing.

Is this the game telling me i shouldnt be there yet or perhaps a bug?

the number under their name is their level, so they were level 8s. If you can take them, no one is stopping you. It's usually tough to take on enemies that much higher level than you though.

the game doesn't scale to your level. certain areas have certain level enemies.

The thing with KE, is if you get into a high level fight and your barrier isn't up, its good night for you. I've been stabbed in the back by many rogues.

This is my next build.

One small thing that I really like about this game is the way the characters tarot cards change as you progress with your Inner Circle relationships. Nice small touch.

I didn't even realize that their approval/disapproval would affect how much they talk to you when you speak with them. Was totally stonewalled by Blackwall at Haven for a while...

But then I found the Grey Warden artifacts and he cheered up.

I made some other choices that have royally cheesed off Cassandra...but meh. I'll see what her not liking me leads to.

I wonder what the endgame scenario is. I mean, is having everyone on my side like having all your crew loyal in Mass Effect 2?

Yes it is, and so much so, that I was getting a bit bored the last dozen hours before finishing. I would have switched back to DW Rogue because it was more rewarding and challenging, but it's annoying when some of your better attack skills whiff 50% of the time because you happen to be fighting on slightly uneven or sloped terrain.

The thing with KE, is if you get into a high level fight and your barrier isn't up, its good night for you. I've been stabbed in the back by many rogues.

This is true, but I was usually aware of red templar rouges and either bum rushed them or used that invincibility spell right before he struck. I lived off of my stave and armor that gave me plus 6 guard on every hit plus 18% health regen after kill.

My KE was so OP and I didnt even use any of my best crafting stuff to build it. I figure playing on normal as KE is just broken. Once I figured the fire mine/barrier spam the game just became so damn easy. I never wiped after that (especailly with the focus ability of mass Resurrection). Its really hard to die with the right KE setup.

I plan on trying nightmare next. Im sure to rage very often on that file lol.

Everything isn't a bug. You just aren't a high level enough for that opponent.

KE is from what I hear the best class/playthrough for the highest difficulty
