my Archer rogue hit Level 15 and finally got a class specialization(assassin). quest was bugged and had to farm Dwarves for a couple of hours.

took on 2 High Dragons and easily beat them. should have taken them on earlier. wasn't much of a fight being my level. Mark of Death is deadly.

Wow 90 hours in and I just figured out you could craft upgrades for your weapons and armor. Bye bye all the ones that were taking up inventory space. I still keep the blue and purple ones though.

      Knight Enchanter Example:

Don't feel bad, just realized you can have your companions carry potions. Sad thing is though, they don't seem to use it on their own though, which is a bummer. Only thing they use on their own is health. They don't ever use any of the grenades, rock armor, mana regen, regular regen potions on their own.

It took me about 10 hours to figure out somewhat what is going on with all of the game systems. The first 5 hours I was totally overwhelmed with no clue what I was doing or how to do things.

I do the same thing.. but I need to pick a class and stick with it. Would like to make some progress over this holiday break. One minute I'm S/B warrior, next I'm on my mage, then I feel like playing my DW dagger rogue.. ARRRRGHHH I cant decide which class to stick with.

I settled on a simple Human Sword/ Shield Warrior. I use my character as my tank along with another warrior in Blackwall who uses two handed weapons. I use Sera and Solas as my ranged party members. I fully upgraded Sera's poison abilities in the archer tree. Having the poison comes in handy when dealing with large groups of enemies.

I'm liking the way my party looks. Like others I've barely touched the main story line as I've been exploring a lot lately. I'm still exploring the Hinterlands even though I've unlocked a few other areas. The Hinterlands are so huge it makes me wonder what the other areas are like.

This is the main reason why I haven't really dug into this game.

Maybe my memory is wrong, but didn't mages have more power in Origins ? Feels like some spells are missing. And they seemed to have made 2 handed warriors very weak in this game too.

There were a lot more spells in DAO.
They completely took out Healing magic.

They also limit the number of spells/abilities on PC version's quick bar to 8. Kind of disappointing.

Gah, don't be telling me that about 2H warriors. That's what I rolled with. Seems to be doing pretty well so far, but I'm only level 8.

My 2H are my biggest heavy hitters after my rogues. One thing that's evident in this game is crafting gear is very vital, since crafted gear is 9/10 better than stuff you'll find as drops. With that being said if you're above lvl 8 and you're still in The Hinterlands, or doing side quests only then you're really putting yourself at a disadvantage as far as gear progression is going. Since in the starting areas you're only going to find low grade materials for crafting. This means as you level and enemies level with you you're going to find yourself doing low dmg and taking more dmg.

I know some of you want to complete an area before moving on, but you're not really supposed to stay in these starting areas after you hit lvl 7-8. Plus, some features and zones in certain area aren't even accessible until story milestones.

Every game they have reduced the number of spells. The healing magic makes no sense to remove, as others have said in here because it breaks lore. I understand why they removed blood magic skills even though I enjoyed it in origins. It makes no since story, immersion and lore wise. Can't speak about two handed warrior I always go sword and shield first time through.
