    Re: Dragon Age III: Inquisition

Would you guys recommend this game for someone who hasn't ever been into this genre of games? I've been looking for a game to indulge me for quite some time now, and I haven't been able to find it.

Also, is there anything I need to know about the series before I dive straight into Inquisition? I don't want to be confused the whole time.

I haven't played Inquisition yet but im buying it tomorrow or Thursday at Best Buy since they're having a B2G1 sale so I figure, why not try it? From what I have read here and on other sites, the game is supposed to be very good and it looks great. The videos that I saw with them with a Dragon got me hooked as I like the fact that you can attack certain body parts. Worse case scenario for me is that if I don't like it or can't get into it, it's free so I'll just trade it in.

As for what to know, I played the first Dragon Age Origins for about six hours but never went back to it and eventually sold it so im not 100% sure if you have to play Origins and DA II before playing Inquisition but im sure others here will be able to answer this question better.

Here is a great summary of the first two games and the lore: http://kotaku.com/a-beginners-guide-...age-1658487212

I only played a little bit of the first two games, and this summary really helped me know the backstory while I play Inquisition.

Love the fact that it becomes so much easier when you actually work as a team, and it's important to have one person of every class so you can get into every room.

I want to play this, but for whatever reason, I can't seem to "want" to pick it up. I have the feeling that I won't like it, as I NEVER use magic in any game (i.e.-Skyrim). I know it's not Skyrim, so part of me wants to give it a chance, but I just can't find it in myself to pull the trigger. All of the deals on it is making it tough though.

Be a rogue and deal pure damage, use dual daggers or stealth and either let the AI deal with magic (you can somewhat control the behavior) or switch to tactical mood if you feel like it. IMO it's better than Skyrim. I am 25 hours in and have been doing mostly side quests...and many of the side quests are meaningful.

Inquisition is one of the best games I have played in my life.

Have you switched to tactical? I find it to be very helpful against tough enemies and I hate micromanaging my party.

Man just bought this game yesterday and so far it's been great even with the little time I've gotten to play it...

Started out as a Mage because I'm always a brute character on most games. This being my first Dragon age game I'm kinda lost with all the content and such. I also started on hard lol

I love Sera's line when you are about to go into a new area: "You go first and I'll avenge you." (cackles)

I've been getting my butt kicked early in this game..... I looked up some tips and some said it's hard starting out because your character is really weak until you progress a little further then it gets easier

                                I'm gonna stick with it
