Any tips for a dual dagger rogue? Just got through beginning and opened up war table. Probably assassin, but any good or bad skills?

Any tips for someone who is new to the game and the series overall? Played for about an hour and love it so far.

I'm new as well and I found that exploring and doing side mission is a good way of leveling up. Also stick to 1-2 trees when leveling up in the beginning until you unlock specialization.

Biggest tip (with this particular game at least) is to use the Hinterlands as much as you need to in order to learn the game mechanics, but when you get bored of the fetch quests in that area and are comfortable with the game mechanics, go ahead and move on with the main story and to different areas. The game, and in particular the quests, really opens up as you get to a higher level and see more areas.

Most of all, just take your time man. Dabble in potion creation, crafting weapons and armors, etc. to get an idea of how everything works. The game is absolutely massive (I mean, arguably bigger than Skyrim in terms of what you can do), so rushing through it would do the game a disservice.

I'm trying to do all the side quests right now to level up and get a little more used to the crafting. Is their any point in buying armor/weapons from vendors or is it better to just craft and loot?

I've gotten everything necessary from crafting and looting.

Iv'e played all the DragonAge games to date, this is the best on by far, Origins was still excellent tho!...I've never really ever got the hang of the Potion making, Weapon Craftng, and Enchanting type thing...I really just wing it!

I'm currently a level 9 Rouge Archer playing on Nightmare....Some tough battles, some I can't even get past just yet!...what's the level cap for the inquisitor?

I haven't recruited everyone yet, and I am at the point where I have to side with the mages or Templars...I'm about 20 hours or so in...For those who have finished the game...How far into the story have I progressed?

Maybe about a third of the way, entirely determined by how much time you spend in the various areas that open up beyond that.

Level cap is 30 (pretty sure, correct me if I'm wrong).

                    Inquisition level cap is 20.

After 30 hours of play I switched Solas and Varric for Vivienne and Iron Bull. Iron Bull makes some hysterical comments and Vivienne is such a snob that it makes for entertaining talk among the party.

The Iron Bull and Sera discuss alternative combat techniques like throwing Sera into combat or riding on Iron Bull's head. They crack me up.

I just added Sera to my party and she is my favorite so far. Some of her comments are so funny.
