    Re: Dragon Age III: Inquisition

Anyone with the strategy guide please tell me in a pm where to find the damn Felandaris plant at. I been looking for this thing forever.

Still in first area, I got 45 power and my party is lvl 8. Did most of the quests so time to move on in the story.

The only thing I can find in the strategy guide is it's Tier of 3 (R) under crafting.

If I remember right, in DA2 it was in a cave. Bioware likes to keep the theme going so it wouldn't surprise me if it was in a hidden cave in the hinterlands.

      ok DA wiki:
Felandaris or "demon weed" is a crafting resource in Dragon Age II. It is used to craft poisons and bombs and only grows where the Veil is thin. (It is also revealed that the Veil is thinned in places with Red Lyrium)

acquisition In Pride's End during A New Path (Act 3), to the right of the demon's statue in the cave.

Each map area also lists what materials can be found there.

For Felandaris, it can be found in

          Sweet Mabster!

Just found that after you wrote it. In the introduction to each area. Great to know, thanks!

I'm 6 hours in with my Human Mage now. No turning back.

I like the game so far. My first impression is its really fun. Who knew that the "jump" ability would add so much to a Dragon Age game. It great for exploring.

The combat system is taking longer to get used to than I can remember with other Dragon Age games. Hands down though it's beautiful to see it in motion.

I dont like the limited AI scripting options they give you. I hope you unlock more as the game goes on. I want to prioritize Ranged attackers, but the option is Attack or Defend the person I'm attacking and thats it. The other three are pretty much when and when not to use a potion.

The inventory is a little awkward too. RPG's should always have a way to compare your equipped item to the item you are purchasing side by side. I cannot find it in this game, if its in there at all. Hopefully modders get a hold of the code and go to work on it like the Skyrim UI mod.

I am enjoying the game very much though. The little annoyances aren't deterring me from having fun with it. The quests seem endless right now. I'm hoping that later on, after unlocking abilities, progressing the story and so on that I can fall in love with it.

on console, compare is just hit X when viewing what you have or what you want and it compares it.

what you have, X shows what you want next to it

I think the combat moves too fast. Yes I know you can stop it at any time and get more "tactical" but that's rarely needed. I feel like I don't really know what all my characters can do.

I prefer the classic Bioware type RPG than an "action" rpg. Currently I would recommend for those who also like that kind of game Divinity - Origninal Sin on the PC. It's the best RPG I've played in forever.

I do "like" Dragon Age III so far, but I don't love it. But every review on the planet is gushing over it so I'm hoping I'll fall in love with it eventually. It's just too early to give it a 'score" in my book.
Thing is if you play with tacticam it plays just like an older BioWare game. And ont he harder difficulty levels that level of control is definitely needed.

Thanks, I'll try that tonight. I didn't know it was comparing my equipped item when shopping. It looked like it was comparing the next item in the list.

I'd help if there was an actual full index instead of just a quest index.

Played a few hours with my new character (Mage) last night and I'm sticking with him I believe. Both were very fun but since I always do a warrior/fighter I'm liking the change of pace.

Can't wait to get back into it tonight.

I did play some GTAV, FC and LBP but the main game will be DA...
Now if I can stop just wondering around most of the time exploring...

played a lot last night with my Rogue Archer. explored Hinterlands and looked around Storm Coast. I'm just about to hit Level 6, just under 6 hours I believe. I found a High Dragon in the Storm Coast, but I didn't engage him when I saw him. later on, he was gone. So I'm guessing Dragons move around the map.

The UI is not very good for PC. I would hope for some modding to come along and possibly make it better, but I don't know how moddable DAI will be.

Was the dragon fighting a giant?

I had Sera in my party and boy was she thrilled to see a Giant fight a Dragon. She would not shut up about it.

I mean yeah, on one hand, how often do you see that? But it's not like we had not done a bunch of crazy stuff leading up to it. I have to admit, I did sit there and watch it for awhile as well.

Anyone have any impressions on classes that are fun? Went Archer in DAO and 2H warrior in DA2. Really enjoyed warrior but thinking of going "Legolas" style for this one.

That's getting pretty spoilery. Can we keep the unlocks, quest rewards, etc. out of normal conversation?

We don't all want to know how to unlock and get the best rewards the fastest we can. We want to stumble upon it on our own.
