I just went with the default look. As for the class. So far I went with Vanguard in the first one & went Infiltrator for part 2. Sniping in Invisible Camo is SWEET!

Default shep look is important for me. I feel like I lose immersion if I don't have him default because his look is so recognizable and iconic within a reasonable sense.

I don't spend 3 hours on Shepard, but I do spend a decent amount of time on him, and I make him black.

A black man uniting the galaxy and saving the world, talk about overcoming racism lol.

What are your guys favorite squad members for playing through ME1?

For me it's always been Garrus and Wrex. Wrex is really strong combat wise, with a bunch of health. Garrus is good for opening stuff and he has really good shield capacity once you get his electronics skill all the way up.

I also just realized I've never made a sentinel or adept Shepard. Time to remedy that.

Well Ashley ended up killing Wrex,which I'm pissed about but I think I'll get over it. I have Garrus still so I think I'll be fine.

I had no idea Admiral Hackett was so involved with Mass Effect 1. Never paid any attention until just now.

Outside of Shephard, who are you guy's favorite characters from Mass Effect?

For me, Thane, Garrus, Mordin, Liara, and Wrex are all up there, but I can't put any one over the rest.

1b. Wrex, love his take no prisoners attitude.
2. Garrus, I like the way he changes over the trilogy.
3. Tali, she is just a sweetheart
4. Legion, just a cool character and makes you think.

The best thing about ME is that every character is likable.

I completely forgot about Legion; add him to my list too lol. Completely agree with you in that every character (maybe, maybe not with Ashley) is likeable.

It's hard to rank characters above one another, but here is my top four favorite characters in no particular order.

Thane
Garrus
Mordin
Tali

I also have to add that while the Illusive Man isn't the greatest person, I loved his character.

One thing about the ME series, is it surprised me. In ME 3, I was ready to write James off, but while not my favorite character, he was surprisingly solid.
