Is the NG and CG games said to be the exact same?

I think the PS3 version also has that. At least that's what it says on the case.

This game is becoming one of my favorites this gen. I can't stop playing it.

One of my favorite things to do is pit guards against each other with the berserker darts. Then I get the Berserker song from Clerks in my head, lol.

I must say, this game is in the top 3 for game of the year race. Hunting sharks and whales is just a thrill rush to do. The singing of the crew is addictive. And the best thing about hunting sharks is that they have more then one kind of shark you can hung. I seen a sting ray exploring the bottom of the ocean, got stung by jelly fish. Seen dolphins.

Hell I was walking across some muddy looking creek and got attacked by an alligator. I am addicted to attacking ships. Got too cocky though and had my *** handed to my on a platinum platter. I accidentally rolled up on 2 level 75 man o war British ships. I didn't even shoot at them, but I got too closed and they chased my *** like some lions. The speed of those ships is just wow. They closed that 2,000 feet distance between us in 5 seconds. I was doing all kinds of u turns trying to shake them.

Lucky for me a hurricane came and I lost them in that. They did do 97% damage to my ship in 3 shots though.

I got about 3 story missions done last night, and before I knew it, it was 1 AM.
Is it on the level of Far Cry 3? I did pretty much everything in that game and one of my favorite games over the last few years.

I might make this my third game in B2G1 for next gen.

Found myself a white whale today. It was my first whaling experience and I got my *** handed to me. I had upgraded my harpoon to level 2 but my row boat was still base. One tail smash and one breach and I was desync'd.

Edit: spoilerd cause it's almost as long as Moby Dick.

Just wait until you tangle with a Great White or Killer Whale.....

I truly thought nothing could pull me away from GTA V until I played this. I am just stunned how this series turned around after the misses last year.

Do it. It is on that level of stuff to do and collect and craft and explore. Plus sailing and assassinating.

Yeah the PS3 has the additional content as well. I've been watching a walkthrough because I wasnt getting the PS3 version and secondly because I didn't bother to watch any of the PS4 footage shown to keep some of the new game feel there when I do get it.

                    Thanks

I haven't played any of the Far Cry games, so I'm not sure. I've heard that the hunting portion was copied directly from FC3, but other than that I don't know.

Do you have to get to a certain point in the main story to get the white whale? I've yet to find it.

I think you have to be at least sequence 3 but other then that it's just a random occurrence. Like stumbling on one of the blue chests or the Royal Convoy.

Edit: you've also gotta be online since they're part of the whole social acinitiates.com thing.

It only spawns on when Ubisoft puts them out there on certain days

Its a FPS open-world action/adventure game with some survival and RPG elements. It can suck away massive amounts of time. The best part of the game is taking over the outposts and at the end of the game you can reset them and go at them again. Good amounts of variety in terms of FPS gameplay. Plus, its a beautiful game.

And... you all have convinced me, reading through the past few pages, that this is a title that I need for Next Gen.

I've never played FC3 either, so this should be a treat. I've not played an AC game since the first one, didn't like the story, but this one looks to be a solid title.
