    - ...literally haven't been this excited about a game title since Skyrim on the PS3.

I, too, have been waiting for something like this - whatever it is...

There's a Game Informer video asking Sean Murray community questions. I have never seen it till now.

In it someone of course asked if we are searching through a universe or galaxy. Sean said it's a universe and without trying to ruin it for everyone, "everyone starts off in the same galaxy."

He also said it was a staff member that accidentally wrote galaxy in some recent press text that caused confusion. It's a universe.

        Re: No Man's Sky

With all the games I'm back up in, this game gets full attention when released. I want to know and just experience this - which I hope proves unique. Throw in a VR release surprise, and I might do a Fred Sanford.

I get the feeling that this game is pretty much completed. The public release, one week after E3 could be all part of the plan. Add to it the buzz with the Neo system, VR News, A Last Guardian announcement, and a possible TLOU 2 reveal? This is the Big ONe!

Add to it news about old series new releases announcement! Upcoming games!

In the interest of fairness, here is what could possibly be perceived as a negative slanting article. Personally, I don't think any of this will bother me.

And here is an article looking at the numbers of the game.

Yeah, I feel like a few concerns mentioned in that article have been brought up here the last few weeks and definitely are valid.

I think it comes down to one line that's said in that arricle and has been said on here: the game definitely won't be for everyone

This isn't NMS, but I feel like this might be the best place to post this link.

              https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/koonschi/avorion

This game is very much like NMS it seems, but has more dynamic actions to it like I had wished for in earlier posts.

                I don't know if I'd say it's similar.

NMS is focused on planet exploration. It procedurally generates what the planets consists of. But it doesn't have a great focus on what you do traveling in space other than being indirectly involved in the actions of NPCs.

This game is focused on Space exploration and it focuses on procedurally generating what the universe consists of. But it doesn't have a great focus on what life exists on planets and it places you in direct conflict of the actions of NPCs in space.

Would be nice if NMS would involve what Avorion is doing as part of your travels in space. That's a part I think skeptical gamers are most concerned with when they ask "what do I do in NMS?"

                  Re: No Man's Sky

This is probably my most anticipated game this year, next to Uncharted 4 which is already out.

It harkens back to the 80's growing up with all the ski-fi 'choose your own adventure' books, with a Buck Rogers like vibe, etc.. Back when we used our imagination of space exploration with games on the Commodore and the like.

The art is just perfect, and hits all the nostalgic vibes. Got the Limited Edition pre-ordered, and looking forward to any PSVR announcements, which may be for the "rumored" PS4K ("Neo").

That article PV posted that talked abut some concerns, there was only one thing I flat out disagree with and it was the modding side of the game on PC.

I can't imagine anything but awesomeness from the PC mods people are gonna make for this game. One of the main reasons I'm going PC

Yeah, I would agree....but there are the modders/hackers who want to do things the devs didn't intend, and some of that could ruin the intended spirit of the game, who knows.

I'm actually surprised about the constant "what do you do/what is this game about?" in the post-Minecraft world. I thought the non-curated game was less obscure.
