I finally found the best scroll and another big spell so I switched back to my mage. I can do massive amounts of damage, but its still pretty hard to get spells off before getting hit. I wish they were a little faster, the prince guy is really fast so its pretty hard.

10 hours in and I've defeated 5 boss. Had a rewarding boss fight against the Abyss Watcher who gave me hell during his second phase. I couldn't run away from him, let alone get close to him with the range of his sword. His fire attack where a pain to deal with, since it covered almost all areas. Ended up running out of estus and had to rely on the old school boss tactics of staying to the right side of the boss until you see an opening.

**** that npc dark/mad phantom Heysel (I belive that his name) that spawns in the swamp. This man showed me who terrible I was when it comes to PvP. His parry game is to damn good. Everytime i attack he just switches to a shield and insta parry. The current score is 0-6.

Love what they did with the npc invaders, their not pushover like before. That fake death animation enemies have, is the worse. Died a few times because I think a enemies is dead when their just faking.

Too bad there is no words/template for White sign soapstone...
Trying with phantom, ally and friend but no efficiency.

Very hard to find co-op and that isnt pvp, that i don't like.

            Re: Dark Souls III

As soon as you see/hear the summon signs reload, sprint to one and hit it, it'll improve your chances but its tough to get someone unless you are almost right on top of it when it pops up. Most of the time, Its due to the high volume of players summoning vs players wanting to be summoned. Every time I put my summon sign down, I get summoned instantly and every time I use the red eye orb, I invade someone right away. But my summoning success is about 5%. That tells me that there are a ****-ton of people looking for help. But yeah, They do need to fix how other summon signs get shown because it is super frustrating along with the blue sentinel/blade of darkmoon covenants.

Also, make sure cross-play is checked, by default it is not.

Does Hawkwood disappear from time to time? He usually gone for me when I go to firelink. For some reason the Anri/Horace never showed up at firelink, I'm worried I messed up their quest.

Unlocked the Cathedral of the Deep, and the Catacombs. Going to go through the Cathedral first since it looks like a side area.

                    It's a server side patch.

Just finished. Thought the last boss was fairly easy, the two I fought before him were tougher. Not sure if my next play through will be NG+ or starting over.

Finally downed the Nameless King this morning. I let out a guttural scream when I got the last hit in, not even kidding. This was after about 3 days of being unable to beat him. Awesome, ridiculously crazy boss fight. I finally got the dodge timing down on him, but he is still so aggressive that he'd catch me of guard.

Now I can focus on my second character. Trying to knock out all of the trophies through multiple playthroughs.

Was walking around the area where the wooden bridge, trying to make my way across it when I instictivly turned around to see this.

Just had the best boss fight against Aldrich. Was on my third attempt trying to defeat him. Was doing pretty good by getting him into his second phase with 7 estus left when he started spamming his arrow spells and soul arrow. That combo is deadly and killed me the first two times. Got him down to about 20% before he used it on me which almost killed me. Ended up using my last estus and went to town on him leaving him 1 hit away from dying before he disappeared I was also 1 hit away and I somehow was able to dodge all his spells and close the gap. Went in for the last hit the same time he did. Ended up killing each other, but he bled out first. Aside from the speel he rains arrows down and his greater soul arrow, he was pretty easy compared to Abyss Watchers.

Been walking around the Irithyll dungeon and I'm confused on what skill the jailer are using to reduce my health bar l. Died a few times in this area because of this. Can't tell if it the fog since I still lose health when I'm no where near it.

My first time playing a Souls game, it took me over 20 times to beat the first boss at the very beginning of the game, even after that I kept dying too much just getting place to place so after about 3 hours of playing I gave up and took it back to Redbox, this game is just not for me.

You just made the biggest mistake of your gaming life, let me explain

My first ever experience with these games was Bloodborne and I bought it because of the hype when i just play online shooters and sports games.

The first boss in the Bloodborne game beat me like 40 times and I like you quit but did not return the game. Just quit for 2 weeks or so. I decided to try it again and started to notice that I was inching closer to beating first boss. When I beat him it gave me a rush unlike any game has ever giving me of accomplishing something. I was hooked on that rush from there on and played that game like 100 hours and beat it 3 times and the DLC and got platinum. Yes I died a ton and it made beating a boss or game that much sweeter

I decided to try Dark Souls 3 because I was hooked and my skills carrier over and I did not lose to any of the first 3 bosses. I have beaten about 6 or 7 bosses and right now I just got to the Pontiff which is giving me fits like no other boss so far. I have lost like 15 times and have no embers left and continue to inch closer.

Is the reward factor that makes these games incredible. No other game has done that to me

Well said. Pretty much my experience with Bloodborne. When you beat a Boss the hype meter rises.

True story - Took me 30 plus times to beat the first boss in the game, as I am somewhat new to the series. A certain community manager for MLB The Show was in a party with me, and when I explained this fact to him, he replied with a hearty 10 second laugh and said "Dark Souls series may not be your thing bro"

I haven't felt like a child in 25 years, but I did that night.
