I have played just under two hours on Normal. Game is very pretty. The opening is all linear and it’s not open world yet. Setting up the story and teaching you controls. Reminds me of TLOU in terms of having to find supplies for health, ammo, etc. Fight zombies with melee or guns. Stealth and distraction with rocks or Molotov cocktails can be done. There is a skill tree and upgrades. R3 is your environment scan which can be upgraded.
But in just under two hours there is nothing bad or special about this game. The production values aren’t polished and cutscenes and dialogue are constantly interrupted by pop ups or fade in/out. No smooth transition from cutscene to gameplay. Hits you in the face.
I do agree the motorcycle is sensitive to control and no option to change that. But I had no issues with movement or shooting. I did find on Normal it still took almost as many bullets to kill something as swings from my baseball bat. Unless you had a headshot. And your bat deteriorates too lol which is cool.
So far this is about what I expected. A solid game but not a GOTY candidate. The low 70 review scores seem accurate in my limited time with it.
