    Re: Days Gone

One explanation that I heard was the copies the reviews played didn't have all the patches in that came to the users and a few of the big ones post launch.

I played about 2 more hours and just now got out of the tutorial stage I am still really enjoying it. The upgrade system is looking like its going to give out useful things so that's a big key. I like how It gave me the option to just fast travel to the camp for my upgrades. They are times when I don't want to drive across the map and just want to get to a place so its nice to have that option. I like how the supplies aren't crazy hard to get so far. The shotgun is easily my favorite gun so far.

Just bought this game the other day and it's alot of fun and also pretty terrifying. Really sucks when you run out of both gas and ammo especially at night. Adds alot of dynamic to the game though. You really gotta learn how to survive.

I just started recently and I just bought saddlebags which allows you to store stuff on your bike. I haven't actually used it yet, but its suppose to help out. It was level 2 on the Copeland camp to unlock.

I may have to get those. These game really forces you to think before you execute any plans and or missions. I went hunting for deer once.. bad idea.. stupid horde followed the deer and destroyed me.

I am very much looking forward to eventually grabbing this one. But I know if I wait till Black Friday it will be $20 or less.

Right now the disc version is 34.99 on Amazon.

I have both Origins and Odyssey in my back log. Which one would you play first?

I know this was directed at me but thought I would swing at it.

I am a big Assassins Creed Fan. I got Origins on launch and with the change in format it just did not reel me in. Not that it was a bad game (more on that in a second) but I was having to much trouble adjusting to the changes in gameplay.

I picked up Odyssey, it being a time period I am more interested in. I have been hooked since day one. I am slow burning this game, taking my time to do every little quest, explore etc. I have put in probably close to 50+ hours and I am probably not halfway thru the story.

Now back to Origins. Now that I have played Odyssey and I am more in tune with the core gameplay changes. I went back to Origins for a re visit. I find I am enjoying it much more now that I am comfortable with the new style of gameplay and I am not "fighting change" I first used to say Origins was a great game it just wasn't an Assassins Creed game. But the new format has won me over I guess.

So story wise play Origin first. I still enjoy Odyssey more, but that is more of a time period thing for me more than any real gameplay choice.

Yeah, I’d go Origins first. It helps the story make a little more sense and I’m more in to the Egyptian setting. Really liked raiding ships and caravans and the poison darts were AWESOME. Spent a ton of hours with that game. I used Kassandra in Odyssey, and she may actually be my favorite Assassin in the entire series. Her personality just makes the game, so I’d definitely recommend choosing her for your play through. I’ve put in over 180 hours in Odyssey, so obviously I’ve had a blast with that game, too. Really can’t go wrong with either choice, man, but doing Origins first helps with the “present time” storyline.

                            Re: Days Gone

As someone who played and completed both Origins and Odyssey (both were a 9.0/10 for me but for different reasons), I would go with Origins first.

While Odyssey has the better characters and much longer story, Origins doesn't have the copy and paste layouts for outposts/tombs, etc. that Odyssey has. Origins sets up the present day storyline that gets continued in Odyssey. Also, hunting means more in Origins than Odyssey. I also prefer the Phylakes in Origins over the never ending bounty hunters in Odyssey. The HUD options in Odyssey though are great. There's 20 or so different options and you can customize it the way you want.

I love both games and Odyssey advances/improves upon almost everything but it's Origins that got me re-invested into the franchise after the disappointing Unity and solid Syndicate to where they were right there with Black Flag and Rogue for me.

Can't go wrong either way though.

Screw it. These are the kinds of games I absolutely love. I picked it up for $35 bucks on Amazon.

I am playing through Far Cry New Dawn. I will finish that inside 35 hours then Day's Gone is up next. Watched some YouTube videos and this game looks like a ton of fun and I will get lost in that sandbox for 60-70 hours easy. This is the Zombie Apocalypse game I have really wanted.

                              Look forward to it.

I was just chugging along then realized I was out in the middle of nowhere and almost an empty tank on bike.
I did run out but managed to sneak around and found a gas can to get me back on the road... but it was a nerve racking experience.
