I’m playing for the first time in a couple of days and I swear, there are so many Freakers out, it feels like a glitch. Like, I’m almost tempted to reload the game and see if they thin out a bit. There’s NEVER been this many and I’ve ran into 3 herds in the last 30 minutes. 😳

I believe I saw this on sale today through the PS Store. I don't know why I held off on this game, but I might finally bite the bullet and buy/download this.

Assuming I get this...I'll be spending time with this game, NBA 2K20, MLB 19 the Show, WWE 2K20, along with working 6 days a week, and watching/playing a ton of basketball and watching playoff baseball.

My wife might leave me by the end of the year lol.

Yeah but 30% off still not enough. Thanks though.

You should have seen the situation I got myself into, last night. I was doing the mission where you have to sneak into a house thru the garage to look for Lisa. Well, about that time, a group of Marauders came thru and attracted a herd! The Freakers wiped them out... and then just stayed there. Didn't pass by, just ambled around outside the house. I let the game idle for like 15 minutes while I put up some laundry, came back... and they were STILL THERE. I finally went out the back door and had to circle all the way around the edge of town to get back to my bike.

I am really pumping skill points and Nero injectors into focus skills.

It is all about focus and fire power to take on hordes. I am at that mission from Rikki (Bounty Hunter mission) where we have to take someone out and there is a massive horde in that area that you will have to deal with. So right now...we are doing rouge things and traveling around to level up more, but we are running out of time now. We have to confront our fears tonight and take on our first horde.

Oh what joy!!!

I also play on easy and even at the end of the game when I was maxed out I struggled beating hordes. I could beat the smaller ones pretty easy the bigger ones I couldn't beat and lost my desire to try. I'll come back to that part after you have beat the game. Your skill level could be better then mine so maybe you wont have a problem. The good news is it allows you to skip past some of them and still advance the story.

Every single open world game is always going to have repetitive tasks. The question comes down to...are you enjoying them, is the story super engaging and the world you are playing in immersive.

This checks every box for me. I love horror. I love apocalyptic stories and atmosphere. I really enjoy diverse characters. I love smooth gun play and a fair leveling system. And I love crafting and variety in the crafting system.

This game really has hit it out of the park for me.

I was back stabbed by Skizzo and Lost lake's camp was attacked by the Rippers (I hate those ****ers). Just finished that deal and Skizzo was taken into custody by Iron Mike and awaits his trial.

For those that played it all the way is this the half way point? Or I am farther along than that?

Just grabbed this for $42 on the PlayStation store. It's downloading pretty fast, but I won't get to play it until tomorrow. Based on the impressions in this thread I'm pumped to dive into this game.

Also with hoards if you crouch down and keep your distance you can follow them without being seen. If you screw up and they do see you run like hell.

Did that mission, last night. Funny/terrifying thing happened to me a little after that. I was doing a side mission to clear out a camp. I got there and noticed a horde off to the right of it. I was up on a ledge and threw an attractor into the camp and it was immediately overrun by the Freakers. The screwed up thing is, after they were done, they turned and ran up the hill towards ME! Now, I was hidden and not moving or making a sound, so I don't know why they would have come up there. Not really fair. I tried a mad sprint back to my bike, but I didn't make it. Luckily, it had auto saved, so I came back and the mission was passed, but good grief.
