When you leave a camp always fill up on gas and ammo as you will have plenty of $. The sidearm gun called lil stubby make sure you buy it as soon as you can. It gives you a shotgun as your smaller gun and you can get it pretty quickly.

Biggest thing I can share is TAKE YOUR TIME... explore but...
When going through areas always be on the lookout. Very easy to get caught with your pants down if you let down your guard for a bit.

          Re: Days Gone

I've finished the main story and all side missions. After that i spent my time wiping out all the hoards , man that was exciting. I still enjoy just riding around the world , there's always something to deal with , but just in time they released the New Game+ mode so I'm starting over again but with all my stuff.

About the Hoards: I'd recommend for the first time playing when you start encountering hoards , watch them for a bit , they usually have a few different spots they move to , some are better then others for taking them out. If they spot you early in the game and you do not have one of the machine guns in your special slot (RPD or MG55) . I'd run, fast.

Absolutely loving this game! It's like the open world Walking Dead I've always wanted. Gonna take me a long time to get through it, because most of the time, I'm scared to death to do anything. Lol!

                  Re: Days Gone

So I played this all weekend. Even had a 5 hours marathon session Saturday night. Playing till my eyes bled.

This is the Walking Dead open world game I always wanted too PPerfectCJ!!

I am now level 2 trust with both Tuckers Camp and Copelands camp.

The two survivors I stumbled upon that needed my help and saved thus far I have sent to Copelands camp. I am not really cool with Tuckers slave labor approach!.

I did purchase the little Stuby as someone suggested and it is a bad *** sidearm indeed. I am focused most of my skill points to melee combat which I am really loving BTW. I am love crafting melee weapons and going to town. Also did some upgrades on ranged and and will start giving survival a little love too to make tracking plants and such little easier.

The game is a freakfest indeed. And at night things are incredibly tense.

So far? This is my GOTY (along with MLBTS19). So happy I picked it up. I will pour at least 60-70 hours into this....maybe more.

I'm level 3 trust at Copeland's and have my bike maxed out as much as currently possible. Haven't done anything for Tucker's, yet, but I do have an open mission for them. I've saved 3 or 4 people and sent them all to Copeland. Most of the people I've come across have gotten themselves into situations that are impossible to save them from. Lol! Haven't bought any guns, yet. Just been using what I find. If you haven't already got them, I HIGHLY suggest getting the 2 perks involving focus early on. Slowing down time to get off a shot has saved my butt so many times it's ridiculous. I've taken 3 NERO injections, one in each category, but from what I've read, I need to invest most of them in stamina. Time just seems to fly when I'm playing this game!

Came across my first horde, last night. My reaction was to run away, drive to Tucker's camp, save the game, turn it off, and go to bed. I handled that about as well as can be expected...

The first Horde is terrifying. When you really realize the scale of the thing and how limited in ability and weapons/ammo you are? They did a really good job of building tension in this game.

This game scared the crap out of me several times. I always leave my bike close by when I'm dealing with a hoard. Good for making a fast escape.

It took me a while, but I finally wrapped everything up for the platinum last night. My opinion of this game hasn't changed since my early thoughts, other than me growing to love the story. It was one hell of a ride, for sure. I still can't figure out why this game got criticized so much at launch, but everyone I know who's played it seemed to enjoy it.

Not really a spoiler, but don't delete the game when the credits roll. There are still a few more things that are revealed when you're able to explore the map post-campaign. I'll say no more.

I’ve started playing this after finally playing TLOU for the first time ever (I know, please don’t stone me!). My question is about mission completion. If I don’t complete a mission 100% is there anyway to go back and complete it. I understand some missions fall within a larger mission but it can be confusing after only completing day 33% of a mission.
