Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Varmint rifle is a must for hunting certain small game (and getting the best quality pelts out of it). Just don't try to shoot a deer with it or you'll probably get bucked.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I appreciate the realistic scaling of money and how valuable a dollar really was at the time, but I wish there was a high-stakes poker table somewhere. It's a lot of fun playing in this game. The AI is pretty good with knowing when to bet, raise, bluff, etc.
I need some high stakes poker to help ease the pain with some expensive bounties I've racked up. I've got about $800.00 right now, but the thought of paying off the $300 bounty to the west hurts and it's not even real money.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Man, I was hunting down the legendary moose up in the Northeast and kept ****ing up my shot. I literally must have spent a solid 2 or 3 hours tracking the thing and by the end of it, when I brought up the slow-mo vision thing, it just looked like a spiderweb had been drawn across the land from the amount of laps me and this moose did together lol. At one point he charged at me and I was sprinting in tight circles and he thankfully wasn't able to change direction as quickly as I could so I survived.
It's seriously amazing how much time I can pour into this game without even really doing anything. 2-3 hours hunting that damn moose, had probably a 2 hour poker game last night, another hour of dominoes, fishing, hunting, etc. Time flies by.NFL: Bills

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
You’re spot on. 2 hours in this game feels like about 15 minutes to my mind. “One more thing before bed” turns into me getting off the couch after midnight lol.
Not many have touched on the story, but I actually love the story and missions. You get some great gun fights. Ive almost mastered getting the headshots. Love rolling up with dueling pistols and just unleashing on these fools!Twitch: Goblue81188Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Does anyone know how to default your ammo to the upgraded bullets? I purchased a ton of upgraded ammo but every time I go to my weapon wheel to pull a different gun it always defaults to the regular ammo. It's very frustrating mid-combat where I have to use to the wheel to select my weapon and then select the ammo. Especially when I only have say 15 regular bullets left for my repeater but 300 upgraded bullets."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Did the same thing birdwatching, though not necessarily on purpose. Never in my life have I even contemplated it, yet I spent 2 hours down by the river looking for what I needed to make a certain hat.
Unbelievably, 2 hours later I must have discovered 30 different species. This game is on another level.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
After about a week, and probably 40 hours or so, I'm at 67% of the main story. This game is a treasure. I don't know if it's the western setting or what but I don't feel compelled to rush. I've gone in game days without doing a single story mission.
I've seen others mention money but I have been sitting on about 2.5 grand since early (first Bank heist) on. Plus, I loot every one and thing. I only spend money on food, provisions and hotels, though. I've been holding on to it in case things get more expensive but I don't think that'll be the case.Comment

Not nearly as far but from what I read, even late in the game, money never becomes an issue

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Love this game. Lots to do. My biggest problem is I have a ton of pent up aggression from DC traffic so my patience for life is about zero when playing this game 😂😂😂 IE the guy on the cliff that made the mistake of recognizing me.
So...one bad thing, I have a Samsung 65KS8000 set and while the picture is glorious for gaming, the craftsmanship I am afraid, is poo. I got the purple patches of doom playing it yesterday. Right after my warranty expired. Conviently. So mad...apparently it’s a common issue with Samsung. So, with HDR UHD and 240hz in mind boys/gals...what set is the new go to? 65” and up. (no budget for OLED) like 2100 is the max budget...and Samsung is out. Won’t buy their stuff again."Im all jacked up on mountain dew!"
