The deer in this game are aggressive. Just walking by and one constantly charged at me when my back was turned. Pack of wolves are deadly too. Finally got an alliance with the people in the southeast. Far as buildings go, I have the following built: blacksmith, hidden ones bureau, fishing shop, barracks, market place. Man I wish you could just buy building materials. Found my 1st abandoned hidden ones hideout. Just been exploring and it is a lot of area in the power level of the 200s. I'm only power level 37.

You have to follow the story before you explore. As you pledge the areas and complete their stories you get a good mix of exploring and advancing your level. I’m done with East Anglia and it put me around level 90 for the next couple areas. Then do your raids in the area for your building materials.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Anyone know why that sudden sound keeps happening during gameplay? It happened in the previous 2 games as well and I can’t remember why. It’s the same sound as when an enemy losses sight of you.

It took me a while but I finally beat

King Burgred's son Leofrith. I had the wrong gear equipped (long sword) and I couldn't beat him until I switched over to the axe and shot the hell out of him with arrows.

A couple of minor annoyances. The camera pans when fighting a "boss" can get pretty jumpy, especially when dodging and rolling. I'm probably used to Ghosts of Tshunima but the camera, even though it needed some patches, is better in GoT when it comes to combat.

The photo mode (R3+L3) is really annoying. There are some fights/battles when you're fighting other Danes/Norsemen where it can get a lil tricky to differentiate between friends and foes. That's when I use the Eagle Vision but if you're running it will bring up Photo Mode. I probably just need to remap the controls like a lot of you did.


The story is good though and I'm at the point where it's really tying together nicely.

I’m really enjoying the game so far. Have played it for 12 hours and just now got to England and did my first raid.

He told me to burn it, and now none of the Zealots will actively hunt me for the rest of the game! Nice little bonus. When you spare him, he doesn’t stick around. He goes to Rome to go after the exiled king.

Dammit! I put the axe to him thinking that he might come back later and try to claim what was rightfully his. I also ended the lone survivor of the Dane raid to the settlement but that was more so because he was disrespectful.

Well, you can't switch the buttons to bring up photo mode, so I just went into options and turned it off. Had too many instances of it popping up right in the middle of a fight.

Yeah that would be Dag. He's a real POS but I won him over with my decision. Pissed off Randvi though

I’m glad Ubisoft offers a free upgrade for next gen because this game doesn’t really show off the power of it imo. The frame rate is smooth and load times are quick but a lot of the player models look identical to PS4. You don’t see extra detail or better movement. Fire, water and smoke seem last gen too. Some environments are pretty but this game doesn’t show off next gen power imo. Until next gen games are the focus rather than a port I guess this is to be expected. And in fairness to Ubisoft the small amount of next gen owners don’t provide much revenue yet.

I’m glad Ubisoft offers a free upgrade for next gen because this game doesn’t really show off the power of it imo. I had it on the XSX and it looked crazy good. I just got it for the PS5 and it is a slight step down as far as graphics IMO but on my LG CX it still looks pretty darn good.

Just dl’d Watchdogs but haven’t played it as of yet. Now MLB The Show 20. OMG this game looks too good.
