They make some outstanding stuff at a great price! I highly recommend the Hop Rod Rye (hop and rye explosion!) and the Big Bear Black Stout. I like their other stuff as well, but the first two are outstanding on a different level!

Bear Republic - "Always a good decision!"

Haven't had much of it, but what I had was great!

Last saturday had a day/night of debauchery.. went to DC for the draft and wizards playoff game. Hit the espn zone and couple other bars during our evening of fun (one was a irish bar in china town? ). Tried a couple new beers (to me anyway).... and all I have to say is.... Orange slices and beer don't mix, not a fan of the Blue Moon.

I've never had anyone put an orange slice in Blue Moon when I've ordered it a restaurant, nor when I had it at the brewery (it's a Molson Coors product). Interesting...

After I saw all these wonderful ideas, I tried a Blue Moon at a local tavern. I had an orange slice in mine as well, and I thought the taste was very good. $3.50 for a glass, wow.

I picked up a 12 packers at Wally World for about $14 bucks. I'll have to sip these to justify the price.

Here is a popular Wisconsin microbrewery that I think it's reaching nationwide, if I'm not mistaken. The spotted cow is real popular around here. It's called New Glarus Brewery.

PS- My bad, only available in Wisconsin. I've seen it everywhere around here, that's why I thought it might have reached nationwide.

Might have been better if I had not consumed a couple guiness beforehand... maybe not the smartest of mixes?

Just got back from Longhorn Steakhouse here in Springfield and I had 312 Urban Wheat draft.

It was a typical citrusy wheat brew, but damn did it complement the tangy grilled shrimp and steak. Not bad!

Its only been recently that I've started collecting, and cellaring beers. I don't have a very sophisticated way of storing them yet. But, we just moved into our new condo, and we have an unfinished section of our basement. Thought I could get some shelves and store some beer. Its not what I ultimately want to use to store beer in the future. But I'm getting started !!

Last night we had some mexican beers for Cinco de Mayo, Dos Equis has been my favorite mexican beer for awhile. Drank a couple different ones, Tecate, Corona.

Also my buddy took bunch of our old beer and put it in a pot with onions, and boiled some brats. Let is boil for 20 minitues and grill the brats. Best brats i've ever had! He says older the beer the better.
