You know what really grinds my gears?

I bought two pounds of fried chicken livers to share with my grandfather while we are repairing our fishing pier [after a tornado damaged it]. They gave me less than a pound of fried gizzards instead. Didn’t catch the weight difference until I was at the house because the bag had drinks in it also. Blah.

For those that don’t know the difference, gizzards are tougher and taste more gamey. I usually soak them in Sprite then milk before I cook them, same as how I prepare deer, elk or moose. Livers are much more tender and rich in flavor. Gizzards are also much cheaper and not as packed with nutrients, as they are muscle. Oh, first world problems, ha.

I love chicken livers but you cant pay me enough to eat a gizzard ever again. I'd rather eat a mouthful of dirt first.
