I was thinking of buying some Sierra Nevada Celebration, as that's classified as an IPA as well and it's their Christmasy offering. Wish I could try it before buying a full six-pack though.

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
EDIT: I tried the Chocolate beer in the new sam adams seasonal and couldn't believe how much of a chocolate taste it had. I really liked it, but it was also during a poker game where I only wanted a couple beers, so I don't know if I could drink more than a couple. My football alliances: E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles AND Hokie Hokie Hokie HiComment

Pliny the Elder is my favorite beer... god it's so good. I don't get it around these parts all that often either, but I always but it when I see it.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Too much crazy spice action going on in that one for me (not a ginger or cinammon fan unfortunately). Sadly, GL does not distribute to my town any longer so my consumption is limited to my trips to Chicago. I miss my steady supply of Edmund Fitz.Comment

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Anyone tried the new Sam Adams Barrel Room Collection? I picked up the Stony Brook Red for myself for Christmas, and boy oh boy. Merry freakin Christmas to me. It shares a lot of similarities to champagne to be honest. VERY sweet. Gives off a very sour taste, almost grapefruit, with some cherry thrown in. It even seems to finish dry much like a champagne. One hell of a beer. Picked the 750ml bottle up for about $10 at a local beer place, along with a Sam Adams sensory glass. Highly recommended for a light tasting, yet dangerously drinkable beer (9%abv).

^ I've known that as a black and blue.
This thread popping back up has reminded me of a joke that the owner of the place I get all my beer at told me last time I was in there.
