Great call NYG on the Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat. It's an excellent beer.

    Goes down really smooth.

Newcastle and Blue Moon are the two beers I stock at home.

Had a Sierra Nevada Torpedo Ale last night, delicious, also Bell's Two Hearted Pale Ale, another great one.

            Had the Yuengling Traditional Lager

this weekend. it had a weird smell when i first cracked it open, then as it warmed a little, i could detect some malts comin' thru w/ caramel notes. A very drinkable beer, and a good session beer. Definitely a good fall-back beer for me when I'm just looking to quench my thirst with something simple and classic. give it a whirl

If you have the chance, I implore you to try anything from the Leffe abby (belgium). Leffe Blonde has made its way to the states, and Leffe Brown(Brune) has been spotted on tap all over the east coast. I drink alot of types of beer, from obscure Abbey ales to heavy english stouts, and Leffe is always on top of my list. Another one to try is one of our local breweries here in Indiana, its called Three Floyds. They have some very good ales, and many of their beers are rated in the top 100 at ratebeer.com

Just had 2 tonight. Living in Philly, Yuengling is virtually everywhere. It's pretty tasty and always reliable, IMO.

I didn't realize Yeungling was a "special" beer. It's all over PA.

I don't know enough about beers to compare them to others, lol.

It's kinda light, but not pansy light. Does that make sense? Easy to drink, I don't remember too much of an aftertaste.

It's a pilsner if you like pilsners. A clean beer that finishes light. Great for a really hot day outside kind of a beer.

Yeah, and my favorite Italian beer, Moretti La Rossa is a darker beer that is nicely malty but has a bit of a hoppy aftertaste, which I normally wouldn't like. But I love that beer... It's also 7.2%, so that's always fun -- and it doesn't have that alcohol twang that many higher-ABV ones do.

Not my pic, but it pours nicely as well... a good beer to look at and watch the bubbles rise (which I do a lot with my beer ha):

I had the Sam Adams Seasonal today at Applebee's... good stuff. I don't drink a whole lot of beer, and what I normally drink is cold piss (I'm in college), but I really enjoyed this stuff. I could actually sit down and drink it and savor it without having to force it down.

Had the Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan tonight. Pretty darn tasty beer. Sweet, with a hint of caramel and pecan. Poured a pretty small head, which quickly disappeared. Has a very good drink ability.

I'm always a bit reluctant to purchase beer that comes from across the pond. It mainly revolves around freshness and lack thereof. Been burned plenty of times with old foreign beer. I still purchase some, but there are so many good American brewers producing world class beers that Europe is becoming far less relevant in my beer world. Sure the Belgians have their funky ales and the Germans produce amazing lagers, but other than that the good ol USA puts almost everything else in Europe and the rest of the world to shame.
