Just go full paleo Jess and go catch / kill those animals with your bare hands. If you can avoid the fines it works out way cheaper.

I find that eating healthy saves you money. You may not think so at first but it really does in the long run. If you are prone to eating badly, you tend to eat more bad food which cost more. In my experience ,once you start eating healthy, you tend to eat less so your food goes a longer way.

Biggest money saver: not seeing your doctor. You'll save on visits, medications and most importantly surgeries. 1 surgery can bankrupt a family and a lot of times can be avoided by diet/exercise.

Seriously, who wants to be on medication feeling like **** all the time and risking all these side effects? God put the best medication for us in the ground and in the trees already.

Genetics, Plastic Surgery can explain the difference, but just like the guys above me stated just because you might appear to be at a good weight, or skinny doesn't mean you will feel healthy.

You know, I posted that picture as a joke. I thought it was funny.

Of course if you eat trash, you will feel like trash.

However, just because she is not a vegetarian or doesn't deal with organics, does not mean she isn't healthy.

That's the biggest thing for me. Up until my knees got screwed up, the combination of Insanity and the diet I was on had me feeling incredible every day. I woke up with so much energy, and didn't have to rely on caffeine. After I stopped Insanity, I went back into the same eating habits as before, and I felt like garbage every day.

Now, being back into lifting for a month and eating much better, the difference is astounding. I'm not necessarily eating PERFECT, but i'm portioning much better, and making much healthier choices. It's worth it to me just in the fact that I have so much more natural energy throughout the day. The temptation of sweets and too much booze is always there, but i've done a good job curbing it.

Unfortunately, next weekend is our anniversary, so i'll be pounding brews for a couple days.

True I see the point and the joke, just wanted to stress sometimes there's more than meets the eye.

and of course maybe the women on the right in the picture, is actually fairly healthy. Besides the smoking, maybe she moderates and limits the amount of butters, and fats she takes in and does enough activity in her life to stay in pretty good shape.

and also just because the women on the left claims to exercise, and has a clean diet that doesn't mean she doesn't do unhealthy things maybe she shoots up with heroin for all we know?

Really No one knows our bodies as well as ourselves, so we are our best judges of what we put into our bodies. It's important to educate ourselves on what we need, and what to limit, but ultimately we put things into our mouths which is why it's so important we don't cheat ourselves.

Some staples of my diet which are expensive as heck:

                              Ground beef: $6/lb minimum
Chicken: $5/lb minimum (only like breast...lol)
                              Almond/cashew butter: $6/jar minimum

I've found it to be very expensive.

I think grains are the cheapest source of food. I can't eat them!
Ok ok, true the higher end meats do cost more. That I cannot argue with, at all. I honestly do not buy much in the form of "organic". I don't go to whole foods for home shopping. I go to Kroger.

I can't stress enough how it really is about moderation.

In everything we do, there is a limit. The problem is, we struggle knowing what the limit is. And that's with everything, not just eating habits.

There is such a thing as too active. You must give your body and muscles some healing time.

I just, personally, don't like if someone is demeaning me because I eat chicken where the chicken isn't free range, etc etc; yet, said person is using an iPhone, (or any technology known to be made in sweatshops) while driving *inster gas guzzler here* around.
