Been playing a lot of soccer and basketball lately plus HIIT workouts. My aim right now is really to just improve body composition. Just need to burn the rest of the belly fat and I'll be set in my mind. Hope I can get it done by my birthday in two months.

Re: 2013 FITNESS CHALLENGE
30$ for what? 20 scoops of 50g of carbs?
MP:A is like 300mg of caffeine. Its your $ but youre better off making your own pre workout with a better nutritional value minus the high stims.
As far as post workout just make one with your protein + extra ingredients in a blender.5Comment

The good thing about what you posted though was it wasn't filled with BS.5Comment

Yeah I noticed after I bought it that had it had like 9 carbs per scoop. I only take half a scoop so it's not that bad. What would I need to make my own then? I'm open to any suggestions. The thing is I like taking it at work where I can get plenty of water and by the time I get to the gym it's in effect already

Re: 2013 FITNESS CHALLENGE
Nice, sorry I wasn't trying to come off as "that guy." but you(people) should, regardless of goals be taking a pre and post protein shake so I don't see why you wouldn't kill two birds with one stone and just add the carbs to your second shake.

For a pre workout you could purchase:
Creatine mono, glutamime, dextrose, beta al, arginine alpha. Etc
Obviously this sounds more costly but in the long run its worth it due to quantity. You know exactly what you're putting in it instead of just taking a pre workout and it being 90% caffeine.
I'm not bashing MP:A because I will take it, but I'm only using a pre workout if I'm sucking that day. It doesn't really have that much of a pro. It's like drinking a lot of coffee or red bulls before going in.
Fish oils, BCAA, creatine, protein, water, etc are the only priorities in supps I think with a few more.
Research some pre work directions.5Comment

You're referring to a pre workout, right? post workouts can be blended at home then drank post gym. Just make sure you shake it well. I usually oatmeal my shakes up for after the gym with added fruit, honey, etc.

Re: 2013 FITNESS CHALLENGE
Bounce back week. I took out 6 pounds since last Saturday. Joined a local gym and have been hitting up cardio and lifting. Im not really looking to add of muscle but I figure I may as well get my form for lifting back down for when I take the weights seriously down the line. Right now its all about dropping fat and Im down 27 pounds so far. This isnt nearly as hard as I made it seem in my head months ago. I wish I started sooner!Comment

Started trying to lose weight 2 weeks ago and I lost 10 pounds. Went from 225 to 215. Trying to get to 200 by my myrtle beach trip on May 4th.
I will say from experience to try Walden Farms products. They are great and helped me so much.

Re: 2013 FITNESS CHALLENGE
Finally found out where my lower back pain has been coming from. I got an X-Ray done at the Chiropractor and I have a possible bulging disc in my lower lumbar (L5). That's also possibly causing my left hip joint pain from pressing down on a nerve.
I had thought I may have had a hernia from lifting a lot on the leg press last year, but everything looked fine there in the X-Ray, so signs point to the nerve.--
