Looking forward to recovery week next week. Have no clue what to expect with next weeks workout but it's the same exact one everyday. And I really have no clue what month two has in store for me. I hear it's a whole new ball game compared to the first month.

I'm most proud of going over a month (nearly 5 weeks now) with not one soda, no ice cream or sweats of any kind.
The Recovery Week is kind of deceptive. Its like the Cardio Recovery routine, but more intense stretching and plank-work.

Month 2 mixes up the warm-ups a little bit and adds an extra set at the end, but there's a bit of reprieve in the middle. Overall its not as intense as the first month, but its about 20 minutes longer.

Candy, bananas are nice and cheap so long as you don't over do it. I eat an apple a day - usually as part of my afternoon meal to combat the afternoon sleepies.

I also love strawberries/blueberries for my oatmeal and cottage cheese. Almonds are good, too for snacking.

Tuna salad is cheap - hollow out a tomato and with a couple pieces of melba toast it is surprisingly filling. You can also substitute half of an English muffin for the tomato.

I also like making this "pizza" muffin with english muffins. Top the muffin with pizza sauce, a sprinkle of cheese, pepperoni/mushroom and bake them (I do 6 at a time) at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Any recommendations for cheap fruit. I typically get Apples but heard they really are not one of the top tier fruits due to the sugar content. I also usually buy the 100% pineapple juice canned pineapple.

      Any other suggestions?
Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries are lower on the GI. Apples aren't that bad. They are probably middle of the road on the GI index.

I've dropped serious weight the past week just by changing eating habits and not even having a sip of beer. Weekends is when I usually cheat like hell...this time, I didn't, andi t paid off. Went to the gym both days and I'm down to 192. Monday morning, I was at 198.

I'm doing a modified diet along with my normal workout. Basically, Cut out my bagels for breakfast and went with a yogurt at home along with multi-grain cheerios and a granola bar that should suffice 'till lunch.

Getting back to lifting tonight after the layoff with the chest pain. Pretty sure I was experiencing Costochondritis. It's the inflammation of the costal cartilage that connects the rib to the sternum. It can be caused by sitting in awkward positions for lengthy periods of time (which I tend to do) or sleeping on your arm (which I do). So I'm focusing on sitting straight up and sleeping on my back. It's harder to do than you'd think.

Man taking creotine pills before a workout and eating a banana after helps so much with pain. I'm surprised.

Oh wow I didn't know that's how it can be caused, I had some chest pains(wasn't heart problems they said) a lot of last summer but this could explain it as I do both too often.

Man, what a difference a weighted vest makes. Threw it on at varying weights for different exercises during my workout today, specifically pullups, pushups, and kettlebell swings, and i'm definitely feeling it.

Yeah I had no clue what it was. Then I researched it and went through the list of causes and I pretty much was doing everything on that list.

Any recommendation for weighted ankle/wrist straps? My friend had one and man they worked. I figured it be something I could use while working, walking, playing ball and tennis for a extra workout. Plus build a bit more muscle.

My recommendation is to not use them. If you want added weight, go with a weighted vest so the weight is centralized.

I talked to a Physical Therapist about ankle weights because they were popluar for awhile. She said they were causing stress and strain on the ankles.

i have ankle weights but i only use them for jumping/rebounding drills. That is about all I would recommend them for.

I'm feeling kinda froggy, so I'm thinking about undertaking this: I find that green smoothies really keep me feeling right during the week, and helps with my intermittent fasting. I'm considering doing a sort of raw food + green smoothie detox during the week, Mon thru Fri, and then eat regular on the weekends but do it IF style how I normally do. I usually fast anywhere from 18-22 hours on weekends. Only thing I might have to monitor is my workouts, I'm not sure how I would respond to my regular lifting regimen.

Anyone know any good Ab workout routines for at home?

I also thought some of you all posted some workout apps, but I can't seem to find them so maybe not... any ideas? I was thinking about grabbing Instant Fitness app.
