      Agreed, you guys probably already know I'm a Muscle Pharm fanboy but yeah I find with Assault it gives you the least hyped up, shaky feeling of the bigtime PWOs and for me doesn't really mess with my sleep. (unless I take it like 2 hours before bed which is I've mistakenly done before lol)

        I used to swear by Pre-workouts, Jack3d, Assault, NO I took 'em all... I've cut it back to only taking a PWO maybe once, or twice a week before a really big workout.

        Also make sure you are cycling, so if you do a month on, take two weeks off so you avoid plateauing your tolerance to a certain product.
        should i alternate between differnet kinds?
        i also have jack3d but been using pharm assault past few weeks.

          I mean you could, but most of them are formulated with similar ingredients just different dosages. If you do just try to get at least a week working out without them just have plain Coffee, or some Green Tea extract when you need a boost.

            I used to use Jack3d and I know they recently changed the formula but I used to crash from it. I have been using Assault for sometime now I have yet to adapt to it. It is still just as potent as day one. I adapted to Jack3d within two weeks. I find No Xplode to work only a few times and once again, I tend to crash from it after feeling a little sick. Plus I find that it runs thru my system too quickly causing the need to hit the bathroom within the hour.

            Assault doesn't cause any of these problems for me. I also can go to sleep as long as it isn't too close to bedtime thus is why you shouldn't really take anything that is going to amp you up within 4-5 hours prior to bed. I have taken Assault close to three hours before bed and still slept fine but I also worked out big time so I was fatigued which helped.

              I've spoke out about the pre workouts in here before, but I agree about Muscle Pharm's Assault being my personal favorite.

              I've used Jack3d, C4, Assault, N.O. X-Plode, and Hyper FX and I also used Nano Vapor when I was in High School.

              Now that I have weaned myself off of it all, I feel so much better. Assault was the only one that didn't leave me with that post-workout "blahhh feeling" and halfway through a workout I would have any sort of jitters. It seemed to wear off about the right time (an hour or so after taking).

              Do me a personal favor, go check your blood pressure at least a few times and make sure it's running okay before you take any of this stuff. It doesn't matter how old you are or what kind of physical shape you are in. I've been in pretty good shape for a while, I'm 23 years old, and I have no conditions or anything. I even have damn near perfect cholesterol (total is 124 with identical LDL and HDL) and still battling slightly high blood pressure. It's hereditary and It usually runs 145/80's when I'm not taking anything for it.

              There's a really good chance I was taking some of this stuff and it made my situation worse or I was taking it on top of the high BP and it was making things worse still. You don't have to consult a physician, just please make sure you're checking your heart out first. I likely made matters worse on myself and made the battle to lower mine naturally even more difficult.

              When I'm relaxed and in the mornings, my BP runs acceptable 135ish/75ish, but mid to late afternoon it's a little high. It's still better than when I first started keeping an eye on it after MEPS told me it was high. It was running in the 150 and 160s and sometimes by bottom number would surpass 90. Running and picking up my cardio and shedding the 20lbs has helped me lower it a bunch. I weigh 205 now after weighing close to 230 on some days just over a month and a half ago.

              I'll quit ranting. I just giving my two cents on the topic.

                I used to feel really lightheaded an hour into my workout taking jack3d. I had to goto the locker room and sit down for like 10 min for it to stop...some scary stuff.

                  I've been off of pre workouts for over a year, as I felt I only really needed them for strictly weight lifting, and now that I've moved on to cardio/bodyweight/kettlebell training, I pop a caffeine pill and I'm good to go.

                  But to chime in, jack3d worked well the first couple workouts, but by the second week, I noticed I wouldn't even get that "rush" that you normally get like 20 minutes after taking it. So I ditched it and went to Muscle Pharm. Just like everyone else, I loved it. Didn't get that overhyped like crazy feeling, just a really solid boost for the entirety of my workout. No crash afterwards at all either, which I would experience after taking jack3d.

                  Another vote here for MPA.

                    I bet you don't drink nearly enough water. Be careful with that if you're taking anything... pre, post, throughout the day, whatever.

                      Just eating more fruits, vegetables and staying away from bad stuff throughout the day made me way more energetic in the gym. I still don't get enough sleep, but I can't and won't resort to pre workouts again.

                      It's tough at first, but if you get in a rhythm it's no problem at all.

                          started bench pressing today for the first time. 155lb...is that decent for a first time? my chest isnt sore at the moment so i prob could've done more but didnt want to overdo it on the first day.

                            It isn't about the amount of weight, despite what the meatheads at the gym may think. It's about the proper form and building the muscle the right way. Don't even worry about concerning yourself with how heavy you lift until much later.

                            You normally won't be sore the day you work out. DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) is the killer.

                              I so need to create an effective workout/diet plan and stick with it. I wing things too much right now and so I just never stick with it.

                                I eat a lot of carrots. I mean I ideally buy 2-3 bags of the baby ones and just sit around the house and eat them out of the bag instead of chips. Lol.

                                Any recommendations for cheap fruit. I typically get Apples but heard they really are not one of the top tier fruits due to the sugar content. I also usually buy the 100% pineapple juice canned pineapple.

                                Any other suggestions?
