This is my exact line of thinking on the subject. Also, wouldn't they have to pay players all the way down through DIII as well?

Personally, I'd say the best compromise would be allowing them to make money off their likeness on their own if they can. Give them a cut in jersey sales, let them sell autographs, etc.

If not, there's no feasible way to pay all these guys without more problems coming up in the very near future.

Title IX makes it virtually impossible for the NCAA or schools to pay athletes up front for the various reasons stated. The only way it happens is if the NCAA starts allowing athletes to make money off of their likeness by accepting endorsements deals/gifts/etc. from sources outside of the NCAA and their universities.

To go along with this, in football a defensive battle is more fun to watch than an offensive shootout.

Maybe not as get out of your chair exciting, but I enjoy them more.

Yeah a shoot out is fun to watch all game, but towards the end of the game it's kinda like you expect whoever has the ball last to win. While the defensive struggle has me on my seat as to who will win in the 4th

I always liked those back and forth 40 total point scored games on a cool night in an SEC stadium. Now with Malzahn, I want all 40 points to be Auburn

That's pretty much what I figured. Though, I don't think some people will be happy with that. Way too much cash the other way though.

I don't necessarily want an offensive shootout or a defensive struggle. Give me both teams scoring somewhere in the 20s and finishing the game within a score any time before we go to either end of the spectrum.

Though in the middle of the week, I demand nothing less than a shootout during MACtion.

I agree with Chase, LSU-Bama from last year is a pretty good example of the type of games I enjoy.

Because it takes so much time on my 14.4 modem and Windows 3.1 web browser to look up a box score.

There must have been some reason why he put the date down (because surely, he couldn't remember what day it occurred on either... right?)
