If this latest news is true why did it take so long for them to reach this conclusion? We have known the satellite data/pings for awhile now... what took them this long to further analyze it and determine where the last ping was?
I'm going on the assumption that someone knows something that hasn't been made public.

    Why? I don't know.

My government teacher believes aliens have taken everyone on board captive and they are being held somewhere.

But in all seriousness, I do believe there is something missing that we haven't heard about yet. From finding nothing to declaring "everyone died" in about 24 hours is a huge red flag.

Maybe the authorities think the plane was hijacked & landed safely somewhere
& now they (the authorities) want the hijackers to think they (the hijackers) got away with it.

Or maybe they (the plane & the people on it) were just raptured.

Edit: just now saw Phobia's post, I should have read more of this thread lol

I agree until you have physical evidence in hand don't make statements like that. Visual isn't enough for a confirmation unless it's an obvious piece of the aircraft.

I just still can't get over the fact they told the families via text. TEXT!!! WTF is the world coming to when someone's life isn't valuable enough to warrant a 15 minute phone call.

Surprisingly.. the Chinese Government isn't accepting the BS from Malaysia..

China demanded that Malaysia turn over the satellite data used to conclude that a Malaysia Airlines jetliner had crashed in the southern Indian Ocean killing everyone on board, as gale-force winds and heavy rain on Tuesday halted the search for any remains of the plane.

Is it plausible that at this point, the outcry for proof/closure could almost force the Malaysian gov't to show us a piece of a plane that was not a part of the missing flight?

Good! Someone pointed out how China seemed a bit lax in their efforts early, it's good to know they're putting the pressure on Malaysia to show us what they see that leads them to officially conclude that the plane downed in the ocean.

So after all of this BS, you really want to believe the MEDIA RELATIONS department of Malaysia airlines?

That's like taking stock tips from a former Enron employee.

#1) If the plane went down in the ocean, it would have broken up on impact and debris would be easily spotted

A Boeing 777 does not -- and cannot -- survive impact with the ocean and remain intact. It simply does not have the structural integrity to survive such an impact, which is a lot like hitting a cement wall at terminal velocity.

If Flight 370 hit the ocean, it would have been broken into tens of thousands of pieces, many of which obviously float on water (such as the seat cushions) and would be witnessed washing up on regional shores or easily spotted by search teams.

The lack of such debris is strong support that Flight 370 did not crash into the Indian Ocean as we are now being told.

Can't believe that was even posted. I don't know how any planes land, because, you know, at terminal velocity a plane hitting tarmac is a lot like a plane hitting a cement wall at terminal velocity.
