That is very true, but you can cut the head off the snake. Which is what needs to be done. Terrorism will always exist unfortunately, but it should not be this widespread.
People forget Iraq and Afghanistan was pretty damn successful. Most terror cells were wiped out, and forced these groups to be on defense, and scattered them.
Not going into specifics, but that was successful. The problem was trying to occupy and create a democracy. Which is basically impossible.
Their needs to be a ground operation into Syria, wipe out command centers, and terror cells, and to protect the refugees, until the threat is much lower.
We do not occupy Syria, we aren't trying to change its government, but merely stabilize the situation, and scatter these cockroaches. And I don't mean airstrikes and drone strikes, the object will be to annihilate this group.
And if we declare war NATO can go in and do the job, we don't have a long, calculating war like Iraq, and we can stabilize that region.
