Wait til the weather is nice all over the country...all that social distancing is going to go out the window because they’re going to tempted to go out and mingle about.

If it was just for essentials we wouldn't be busier then normal by a huge margin. The panic stuff is over. Now it's just shopping out of boredom. I'm seeing the same people come in multiple times per week. It's crazy.

-Essential shopping doesn't mean let's go shopping as a couple. Honestly why do two people need to go shopping. We are in a stay at home order and to only leave for necessary essentials. Yet couples are just hanging out in the store together. You are literally doubling your chances of getting this thing you idiots. Unless you need the help because of a specific reason shop alone.

It's my firm belief that because people are just too stupid to ****ing follow basic guidelines this thing is going to get prolonged and we will lose more and more freedoms. Currently in SD we are in stay at home, no schools, only essential businesses open, all parks/beaches/trails/mountains closed, all essentials business employees which are around the public must wear some sort of face covering (mask/bandana/etc), and you should only leave your house for exercise around your neighbor hood (IE very close to your house). Next step I can guarantee will be all people who leave there house must wear some sort of mask. From there it will be curfews, checkpoints, only certain people can shop on certain days, and mass ticketing. They have tried to let people police their-selves but again people are just too stupid to follow rules. It is really infuriating.

Last little tidbit. My wife works for the VA here in San Diego as a hospice nurse. They are making plans for what to do if/when **** starts to hit the fan. Their current idea for my wife's floor is to use the unoccupied beds for positive Covid 19 symptomatic patients who aren't bad enough for ventilators but still need to be in the hospital. But the nurses will not be provided N95 masks. Those will only be used for nurses working with incubated patients. Are you ****ing kidding me!?!?!? What in the hell is the difference? Does incubation make you more contagious? That's a rhetorical question because no it doesn't make you more contagious. This whole thing is so ****ing dumb.

Now my wife may have to deal with this ****, not have the proper equipment to protect herself, then chance on bringing it home to me and our 4 kids. It was bad enough with me being in the grocery store 40+ hours a week. I'm just super irritated with people who are just so selfish.

Sorry about the mile long venting session but I just had to get this off my chest.

On a last note CB stay strong brother. Get that rest and get better my man. Praying for you man.
I agree Tdawg, some people are just dumber than a box of rocks.

Our neighbor is a Store Manager at CVS.

He said people are just milling around trying to get the $10 dollar coupons from the store. Our neighbor said that he tells them to come back in a month or two and just maybe they will be doling out coupons again.

Our neighbor also said that people were just hanging around playing the lottery. He stated that he unplugged every lottery machine inside the store. People threatened to contact the state commission and he told them, go right ahead, I'll be the first to greet them.

Around here, more and more people are wearing mask, young and old, old and young.

          This is so true.

A friend of mine in NJ is part of a group text and one of the guys in there is saying he isn't going to adhere to distancing because "it's the first nice day outside"

My neighborhood pool is set to open on May 2 and so many people are acting like it's a foregone conclusion that we will be in there on that day.

Yeah lots of people are wearing masks here as well. I'm all for it to be honest. Although having to wear one for 8 hours at work does suck. They get annoying after awhile. I wear glasses too so they keep fogging up lol. I using my sons wrap around bandana that he got for boy scouts. He uses it for backpacking trips. It's like a stretchy scarf sort of. Anyways it's pretty comfortable.

Today is the first time I wore a mask to go food shopping, had been just wearing gloves. The last time I went was about 2 weeks ago, felt like a foreign land today. I feel like I living in some type of movie, really strange.

I haven't gone food shopping since March 6. Stock has been good and we still had more than enough food to last 2-3 more weeks.

Had some friends who went to Sams Club that picked me up extra chicken breast, ground turkey and ground beef. I asked them if it was busy and they said not really nothing too crazy.

Also have heard grocery stores are more calm now and shelves are stocked. Whenever governor talks though it's best to give a 48 hour wait period!

I have to go out April 13th to grab some stuff. I'll do a little grocery store run for milk, snacks, etc. My biggest fear was not being able to get chicken, turkey, beef.

I made a makeshift mask from a folded handkerchief and a couple gumbands that they showed how to make on the news Friday night. Tried to wear it when I was taking a walk yesterday but I just felt like I couldn't breathe. Guess I just walk too fast and wearing a mask interferes with my ability to get enough oxygen. I had it in my pocket when I walked to Giant Eagle today and was going to put it on when I went into the store, but it came apart and I lost one of the gumbands. I guess I could've just folded the handkerchief diagonally and tied it around my face, but I didn't want to look like an outlaw or something.

Even though I can't get everything I want, it costs a little extra and I have to wait an extra day or two to go, I have been ordering my groceries online and going to pick them up using curbside delivery.

I can't (well, I can) believe people are going shopping for recreation. Morons.

I want to do that. But having groceries delivered in my area is full until at least April 18. And main stores Giant and Safeway around me isn't doing curbside pick up.

Same issue here, we basically have two options and neither have any delivery or curbside availability for at least 2 weeks.

The main issue with grocery shopping is the limits in place. A lot of items are limited to 2 items per visit. So if you are buying for more than 1 person, it is hard. You either have to have multiple people with you or make multiple trips. I like to make use of the b1g1 deals and stock up normally, but can't right now. Thankfully I filled my pantry up before the supply issues hit or I would have to be making multiple trips.

Thankfully Costco was letting in first responders in before the general public. Two hour wait to get in.
