Re: *The FIFA 15 Manager Mode Thread*

Sitting second in table with Newcastle. Sissoko with 19 goals and Tim krul is in top form.

Needless to say I may look for new coaching job. I got offers for Tim krul and could have got 25-30 mil. But rejected. One week before end of second window krul informs me he wants a transfer. A couple of days later board says I need to accept offer which was 9mil from Malaga which I rejected thinking I'd get better offer with transfer listed. A day later the board sells him to arsenal for 8 mil. Unbelievable. I'm pissed at this team now considering where we're at in the table.

When it comes to guys getting transfer listed that actually brings down their value because they know that the team is willing to sell the player. Value also can be lost when those player stories happen, ie a guy saying he wants to leave because he hates the rain, or he is homesick because they know the player doesn't want to be there.

        West Bromwich Albion

        2014-2015 Season

The Baggies came in with the expectations of a mid table finish. It all looked plausible when the squad was in reach of an Europea league spot in March. However, West Brom would end their season sitting in 16th place. They would be in a relegation fight that saw them sitting in 17th place as the club rounded out their season with matches against Chelsea and Arsenal. However, Joel Campbell, a winter loanee from Arsenal would score two goals against Chelsea at the Hawthorns to secure West Broms spot in the Barclays Premier League in the 2015-2016 campaign. Ben Foster certainly helped with his 12 sheets and spectacular performances that were rewarded with the honor of Goalkeeper of the Year in the BPL.

Silvestre Varela, the loanee from FC Porto would have a spectacular 11 assists that were 2nd in the league despite him missing 10 games due to various injuries. Browne Ideye would also be 3rd in the Golden Boot race with 13 goals, despite hitting a torrid drought at the end of the season. Jurgen Damm, Joel Campbell, and Fabian Castillo provided vital sparks after arriving at the club in the winter. Victor Anichebe, Sebastian Blanco, and Boaz Myhill would leave the club during the winter transfer window. Hiram Mier, a Mexican defender would see himself in and out of the starting eleven, competing with Jonas Olsson to partner up in defense with Joleon Lescott. Newcomers Sebastian Pocognoli and Cristian Gamboa slotted in at left and right back while Giorgos Samaras was featured at the beginning of the season but saw his playing time dwindle down due to injuries and form. Hopes are high on youngster Julio, who arrived from Sporting Gijon. The 6'5 center back grew training with the first team and should see himself playing cup ties with. Pablo Daniel Morri would be the first academy signing under the new manager and will likely be loaned out next season.

        2015-2016 Season

        Expectations: Qualify for Champions League

The manager is on the hot seat after a disappointing performance last season(hence the ridiculously high expectations). A plethora of player movement was seen as Donervon Daniels, Gareth Mcauley, Kemar Roofe, Bradley Garmstrom, and Liam O' Neil would leave on free transfers. Meanwhile, Saido Berahino would go on loan to Fulham who made their return to the Premier League after a season in the Championship. Craig Gardners old club Sunderland brought him back on a full transfer as well. Giorgos Samaras would be transferred to French club SM Caen. James Morrison saw himself going to Serie A club Parma while Stephane Sessegnon would go Queens Park Rangers. Promising Mexican winger Jurgen Damm would be loaned to Sunderland while youngster Pablo Daniel Morri was also loaned to Oxford United.

The marvelous central midfielder Hector Herrera would be brought in from FC Porto on a full transfer. Joel Campbell and Silvestre Varela who were integral parts of the 2014-2015 season would be brought on through full transfers along with the promising Uruguayan Lucas Ocampos, who was plying his trade with Monaco in Ligue 1. Young American winger from Borussia Dortmund, Joe Gyau would be brought on loan for cover.

I'm only a handful of games into Season 2. You can keep up with it on my YouTube channel.

Just starting my 4th season with Leeds United. not won anything as yet except playoffs (1st Season)

          team is

          Simone Scuffet - £6m

          Nathanial Clyne - Free
          Phil Jones - Free
          Nickolas Sule - £9m
          Grimaldo - £2m

          Youri Tielemens - £9m
          Alen Halilovic - £12m + Odumadi

          Bruma - £6m
Uche Pearce - Youth Player (scored 24 in first season) only 17 now
          Eden Hazard - Free

          Richairo Zivkovic - £19m rated 83 aged 20.

          Subs:
          Jordan Henderson - Free
          Mathias Bolly - £1m
          Anthony Martial - £3.5m
          Sam Byram - Orignial
          Will Hughes - £6m
          James Ward-Prowse - £13m

Rest of team are youth players who my 5* scout has found.. 1 is currently aged 15 and rated 72-76 and potential 86-94 so I cant wait for him to be 16!!

Had players like Junior Malanda who is old for £35m, Adryan sold for £17m and Lucas Piazon who I sold for £29m.

Stupidly said AS Monaco could have Zivkovic for £55m which they accepted so had to offer him mega money to stay.

Only downside so far is Grimaldo who plays every game but does not seem the grow.

Re: *The FIFA 15 Manager Mode Thread*

I promised myself this year would be different... no dithering over what team to use, no hangups over assigning tactics and stadium names, just jump right in with Arsenal and roll with it. Hey, I was offered the Arsenal job in my FIFA14 save after a mid-table finish with Genoa and forgettable World Cup with Mexico, so it's not totally unwarranted, right?

Well, it's December and all I have to show for it is a career save interminably stuck in the preseason. Ol' Vincenzo Di Stefano sure is doing a good job laying out those cones on the training pitch, let me tell you. That changes now... The patches are out, sliders are (mostly) settled, so no more excuses. Vincenzo will make the jump to the Premier League, but in a more believable manner as the new manager of Aston Villa.

With American owner Randy Lerner watching every penny as he looks to sell the club, manager Paul Lambert resigns on the eve of the new season after back-to-back 15th place finishes in the previous two seasons. No stranger to working with difficult owners from his time in Genoa, Vincenzo Di Stefano didn't hesitate to accept the position. The timing of Lambert's resignation and Lerner's notorious "austerity" leaves the Italian no chance to shape the squad prior to the end of August, but he feels there is quality in the side to build around. The hope for year one is to identify who fits his long term vision while developing young talent in the academy. Anything more is a tough ask until new ownership provides more financial support.

Just won Capital One Cup w/Arsenal

Already lost; Giroud (4 weeks), Welbeck (2months), Akpom(4months) to injuries. Some of these young players on the squad are really fun to play with.

Jesus Christ does anyone give likes here? I'll be leaving the forum to go to the other one. ("how's your fifa 14 career mode going", a lot of them stayed on that forum, instead of switching over). To be honest they're all very prolific at posting so I might not be able to keep up. However, the other forum is bigger, and has a lot of good reads. The posting rates over here are awful. It averages just 1 page per day, in fact less then that. Whilst the other forum has 750+ pages in a year and a quarter. There are only a couple of users here who actually post updates regularly, or even semi-regularly.
A lot of you would really fit in over there, of course the decision is entirely up to you. Anyway, this is goodbye, it's just a shame it came so soon after my hello.

Haha yeah, my guess is that it's the games way of saying they have me on the hot seat and on an extremely short leash. Or it could just be terrible logic. Either way it's quite ridiculous.

Started with my home town team, Adelaide United.

My first actions as manager were to get in some handy young players, and start moving the older players out.

Even though the team was already pretty good, I started to plan to build a strong team for the next decade.

I kind of flaunted the league rules, that Fifa doesnt actually apply in the game. A-League rules state that a team can only have up to 5 players who are not Australian citizens. I brought in a few young european players on loan. The biggest standout was Maxwell Cornett from FC Metz.

He gave us a great target up forward, and was instrumental in Adelaide United winning the A-League final in my first year.

The first offseason, I declined the option to buy Cornett for $1m, and let him go home. But as soon as the next season started, I offered FC Metz $750k for him, and they accepted.

I also added Man United keeper Ben Amos in the offseason to sure up the GK position after I let Galekovic go because of his age.

The second season, Adelaide United finished top of the league after the regular season, but failed in the final.

I needed a change of scenery, so applied for the recently relegated Crystal Palace, who were not keen on hiring me, so settled for Portuguese side Belenenses.

Currently, after the first three games, we are 0-3-0. Struggling up forward but solid in defense.

With only $200k transfer budget, there's nothing i can do to improve the side this season.

Is the bug of getting fired after changing a club still there? Man it was game breaker for me when I finfished my last season and applied to another club. I was accepted only to get fired before I did a single match!

Great vid, love the intro. You should kinda do some live vids of west ham before you get into every episode...Builds excitement. Can I give you one other piece of advice?.....During the games, maybe talk a bit more about the players morale/ how you use formations. Almost like a manager being interviewed before the game. The commentary during game is nice but sometimes it almosts sounds like your at an auction. I enjoy them though either way. These vids from everyone is great while suffering at work.

I'm into December in my second season with Liverpool. I wish I would have thought to write down all of the transfers around the leagues over the summer so that I could kind of keep up with where everyone went and how they are performing. Hindsight is 20/20, I guess. I've kept my team pretty much intact. Sold Enrique and Toure because they had expiring contracts and made a decent chunk of change for them. Bought De Sciglio the first transfer window and Yedlin and Butland during the summer window. Lost Stevie G to retirement, tho.
