FM seems like the only game you could possibly consider playing that slow. A cool idea but I think I would have to have several managers in one save.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Off to a pretty decent start with my Ipswich save. 8 points through 5 games; 2-2-1. Including an upset victory over Cardiff!
One of my good friends, he's the one who got me into FIFA (and subsequently the sport of soccer) like 4 or 5 years ago. He's Indian, and once India got into FIFA (the game), he would sarcastically play as India sometimes when we played FIFA. Michael Chopra was the only decent player on the India squad. So whenever we'd talk about soccer, he'd update me on Chopra and whenever he scored, lol.
I was looking over my roster at the beginning of this Ipswich save, and saw Michael Chopra. I laughed out loud, immediately took a pic of my computer screen with my phone on Chopra's player page and sent it to him.
Chopra is a BEAST. He's got 8 goals in 6 games for me. Including these late game heroics against Millwall after they took the lead in injury time.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Couple of things, I gave Juventus their first loss so that was awesome. Sassuolo was predicted to finish 20th in the league... and somehow made it to 2nd. Fiorentina got relegated.
I beat Holland 2-1 with Romania. Tied with them with 12 points, but behind them in goals differential. Forgot to mention that my starting CB for Romania retired from International play...he was only 26I begged him to come back but he said he's focusing on league play
And lastly, I don't want to sell 50% of Davide Astori, so Milan, Juventus, etc. should stop askingComment

Haven't truly played this in a while, so I decided to start up a new game as Carlisle United in League One.
We'll see how this goes. Might as well as use my dynasty section for something.

Another year, another title. Simple enough really! We didn't win any of our Champions League Group games, which was to be expected as well.
The biggest thing to happen was the money from the European run. Getting in the group stages meant a huge payout and it's been confirmed we will spend £8.8m (nearly $14m) on upgrading facilities and expanding the stadium. When the upgrades are done, it will be interesting to see what level my facilities are at, because we had yet another year where our youth academy produced a poor crop of youngsters.

I hate the Championship Playoffs
We went on a nice run, we went from 9th to 4th. We had a chance to get the 2nd automatic promotion but of course in typical FM fashion we lose to Blackpool who were 20th.
Forest somehow came back from a 4-0 1st leg deficit and won the 2nd leg 5-0. As you can see, they won the playoff final.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Well, my aging/declining star team is looking good in 2008. I've got Zlatan up top with Sneijder behind him, and Yaya Toure behind him. My wings are young, and I've got Podolski and Huntelaar as back ups/rotation options. Dani Alves at a wing back, and the rest is 26 and under.Support Local Sports

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Year 2 of my Rangers save. Have to give my guys credit for refusing to lay over to Celtic in the fourth Round of the Scottish Cup. Down 4-1 at the half, Celtic took their foot off the pedal and nearly gave the game to us. We ended up losing 4-3 but luckily the board isn't as disappointed since they understand it was Celtic.
Still ticked about my first round exit and second round exit in the Ramsden Cup and League Cup, but our form was crap at the beginning of the year for some strange reason. Now we're humming along, took over first place for good on Match Day 7 (just finished Match Day 15), although we've only been able to open up a five point lead as Forfar is trying to hang with us.
Transfer embargo is finally over. Not sure what signings I'll be making during the winter period. Maybe I'll take the Dortmund approach and just look for young players as the first team is pretty solid, especially considering who we are playing. Have $921k to spend, as I sold Bocanegra (to Nancy for 325k) and Goian (to Blackburn for $800k) prior to the season starting as I couldn't afford their wages. Hopefully by the end of the season, I'll have shaved off over $2 million in wages as we are bleeding money out of the coffers despite me only using roughly 90% of the wage budget given to me.Comment
