Also failing can quickly change to pass depending how much revenue you take it from competitions, etc.

And it's salary raise over a year. You're judged on a new level each season. It's not static.

Player comes to me. Says look boss, I'm not getting game time. I need to leave to get game time.

Okay I'll sell you, because I don't see a future for you here in the first team. Promise is made, both parties agree for him to leave.

Dozens of offers come in. Player turns them all down and decides he doesn't want to leave.

Promise time is up, and player is furious it wasn't kept. Now demanding to leave because he is upset I wouldn't let him leave.

So, I started my off-season evaluation of everyone at the club, got rid of a bunch of staff, got rid of some bad contracts, restructured the wages to match current income levels, and the last bit was to check out the U19s to see who will be coming through the ranks soon.

            I..uh.... I what?

Sounds like he needs some time training with the U-23’s.

He had been there since first asking to leave. I was finally able to get rid of him on loan for 100% paid wages thankfully.

                    wow, you got owned hard.

Speaking of getting owned, I crashed out of the Europa League qualifying on a 5-5 away goals loss to Fiorentina. the board wanted me to make the Second Knockout Round, so that's going well. I'm expected to qualify for Europe again, as well as reach the Quarter Final of each of the cups, but boy, aside from my run in the Coupe de France upon joining Lille, and winning the regional Bayern cup to qualify for the DFB-Pokal, my cup record continues to be atrocious.

Got sacked after being relegated from the 3rd division. Not sure what to do next, probably play in a smaller country and test tactics.

I have read this thread for a couple of years now but I never really posted because I always felt like my saves were pretty normal and ordinary. I was struggling to stick with a save using teams from big countries in Europe, so I decided to attempt the pentagon challenge and man this is the most fun I've had playing any game in a few years.

My first stop was in the 2nd division of China managing a team called Shexnin Shanghai. When I took over they were in 7th place although the gap between 2nd and 7th was very close. We ended up going on a good run and got promoted into the Chinese Super League. Our time in the CSL started out quite good as we were in the top half of the table for a while. Then we got hit with massive injuries to 5 starters and we dropped toward the relegation zone. The board called a meeting and told me the injuries weren't that bad and they thought my time was up at the the club, so I resigned and took a job in South Africa managing the Royal Eagles in the second division. This teams was in 15th (out of 16) but again the teams above us were pretty close so we safely avoided relegation. The next season we were in a mid table position when a takeover happened and the new board told me I was going to be replaced. So again I packed my bags but this time I stayed withing the same country joining the Platinum Stars of the ASBA Premier League (the 1st division in South Africa). Again this team was in a relegation battle and once again I pulled them into safety. The next season we were playing really well but the finances were getting worse and worse so I used my good form to get a job in Australia managing Melbourne City FC. That's where I am now preparing to enter the AFC Champions League group stage. In February 2021, I'm finally getting a shot at completing one side of the pentagon.

Yep, no save is "too basic", there's something to learn from every one.

Restarted cause I wanted Auba and Miki. Draw to Swansea, win vs Everton, a loss to West Ham away 4-1, but was quickly forgotten after a 3-0 win away vs. Tottenham.

                                Tottenham are ****.
