I decided to try something different. I went unemployed with no coaching badges, but International experience at a continental level.

I ended up at Atlanta United.

Sold him in my save at the deadline to Chelsea. I was able to get Federico Chiesa who in two seasons has become one of my best players, kid is a stud.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Haven't had much time to play. But here we are in my first season still with Morton at the split. Also first time Rangers have made real run at the title. I think they will hold off Celtic. Celtic only slipped though because they made it to the second knockout stage of the Europa League.

Fantastic first season. Expected to be relegated. Worst possible finish is 6th now with five games to go.

And then Hull comes asking me for an interview. I debated this for a good while and then took the interview. Then they offered me the job. I took it. I still can't believe I got a job offer after only being at Morton for one season.

Two games to go in the season with Hull, I just took over. Here is how it stands.

And we play Cardiff and then QPR.

Two points off the playoffs for a chance to go up and struggle in the premier league next season.

I've had way too fast of a meteoric rise in my short career. And I have a feeling this is the job that bites me and I'll end up getting fired.

Oh man, and here it is now going into the final day after getting a 3-1 win in the first game.

Shef Wed, plays 24th Peterborough. Leeds play 21st Barnsley. Derby play 23rd Mkdons. Ipswich play 14th Wolves. And we play 20th QPR. Even if we get the win, so is everyone except maybe Ipswich. So a playoff spot looks out of the question.

Yep, even with a 4-0 win we finished 8th. Not a bad starting point for next season though. Now to spend two days in the offseason rebuilding the team. Also I think I may try and turn this save into a 20+ year with on team save now. Of course if one of the best teams in the world offer a me job I might take that. But this might be last stop if I can manage to not get fired.

I regret taking a coaching license in the middle of the season. Since I started on it I’ve had 2 losses and a draw after starting 3-1-0.

Ya that usually seems to happen. I try to do them all in the off season or at the every end of a season. Everything up to Continental A is only 4 months. And then Cont A and Pro are 12. So those you need a good staff around you or you will suffer.

Neat. I tried to sign him in the summer but he didn't want to, in the waning moments of the january transfer window, he reluctantly joins, and takes a massive paycut.

Just me, or did the patch that came out today really overhaul the transfer AI? They don't seem to be as dumb anymore. No more 4M now and 20 over 4 year deals. The AI rejects this instantly or counters with most all the money upfront. Its killing my Hull rebuild, lol.

I hate work permits. I can't sign this guy because of them:

He can't get a permit. No international caps. Not even if I over pay for him to make him be in the top 20% (7.8M). I can't even sign him to loan him out in another league in Europe because I'd have to pay him too high of wages. No way I could turn around and loan him out for the amount hes asking. I need that wage to get someone I can actually play this season.

He always leaves Arsenal on a free and sign with City. Always in this game.

Damn, got my first crash of fm18.

He definitely signed with City on a free in mine. And they are now sitting in about 7th going into the holidays of 18/19. Soon Pep. Soon.

Last night while playing, for the first time since FM16 I had a locker room split on me. Bid came in for a key player, I rejected. He got pissy, I said tough. Half the team supported me and half wanted me to sell him. Last year, and until this last patch, it seemed that never happened. It was always everyone against you.

Dynamics has really changed the game, in a good way I think. I've been having a lot of success with getting the captain/vice-captain to step in when players moan about not getting enough playing time or wanting to leave. Having good team leaders as captains has saved me quite a bit, more times than not I've had them quash whatever issue there was and I didn't have to do anything at all.
