3rd year and I've gained promotion.

Only problem is that I lost my whole midfield for the final.

Anyone ever managed in Argentina before? Got lucky and I got the River Plate job after applying for numerous jobs.

My previous job was coaching the Black Leopards (SAF) for 2 straight Premier Title's and a couple of other comp trophies from the league .

On FM 16 if it matters

The last time I managed in Argentina, it was still a two-phase season(Inicial and Final), but after looking it up to make sure that was correct, apparently things are even crazier now.

Yeah, things are weird there right now and I'm not even sure if they have it programmed right. I played a bit with a Boca Juniors save in the last version and it didn't seem right.

Well, my Europa League group was drawn, and we're definitely playing with the big boys!

Will be crazy to play at the San Siro!

I thought that I was going to qualify directly through the group stages, but I was wrong. Ended up having to go through 2 qualifying rounds

Yesssss. That's a great payday for us. Our facilities are not great, so immediately after this money came through, and requested an upgrade to our Training facilities, that's a $1m project, it will be completed next year.

I am not overly optimistic about getting out of this group, but stranger things have happened!

Flying pretty high, so I figured I'd try to capitilize on the success...

Also arranged a couple transfers who will join in January.

I forgot to post this yesterday. In December I got that "these contracts are set to expire in 6 months" email. And all you beautiful bastards renewed for 2 more years at only $10 more a week. You all now make $30 a week.

I got fired from Milwaukee after being unable to come to terms on a new contract. The winning run i went on at the end of my tenure boosted my reputation, and it looks like I'll be headed to Western Mass, meanwhile in the new Premier League....

Sweet, I'm upgrading to the slightly fancier ramen. Won't be able to afford a better lean-to though.

                            Season 3 in the books.

We sat mid table most of the year, and came on strong to close it out. Never really had a chance of making the playoffs though.

Ended up going back to the four four ****ing two. Because the 4-2-3-1 just wasn't working. We also played in our first ever cup final, and lost 5-2. Some small cup, northern leagues cup something or other. Not important.

Also had a take over. First thing the new guy did was partner with Sheffield Wed. I asked the old guy three times to find a parent club. He said no every time. So the new guy is a champ in my books.

Media predict 6th this season with new signings. New guy expects top half. I told the team we should be aiming for the playoffs. So 2-5. I'm staring to bring in more experienced players. A full youth team isn't cutting at this level.

So I committed to trying a journeyman save as my first save in FM 18. Started as Sunday League Rep and National C Liscense...and only applied for jobs 1.25 stars and down. Wound up having offers from a Welsh Premier League team, 2 Scottish League Two teams, and a 4th tier Swedish team. (I also got offered the actual Team USA job which seemed ridiculous to me considering my reputation. I entertained that for a second but I didn't want to do a national team save. They had won their first 5 games in the WC qualifiers though so they def aren't missing the WC haha.).

I chose Sweden because I wanted a change from doing a save in the UK...and I will now be the manager of Nordvarmland FF! They're in the middle of their season already, and are currently in the relegation playoff spot...but are very close to the teams above them. I've also got games against the bottom 2 teams coming up, so hoping I can get off to a good start.

The one thing that I'm most confused about so far in FM18 is the scouting differences. I need a better RB...but this team has a director of football who is in charge of scouting. I had some trouble finding my way around the search function...as I only have a Division 2 scout package and it still pulled up players from outside of the division. Any help with managing the new look of the scouting side?
