If we started the season with Bats and Llorente then Hazard would be the third striker.

Makes at least a small amount of sense, we gave a lot of attacking midfielders to fill in and Conte has played Hazard there before.

The thought of Hazard in that false 9 with his back to goal getting kicked on-stop on that injured ankle scares me more than rolling with Bats.

Yeah it's definitely not ideal, I mean Pedro can play there too but it still leaves us a bit thin.

Perhaps we sign two strikers then?

Honestly with the seeming lack of urgency the club is showing regarding strikers (by all accounts, we only ever made 1 bid for Lukaku, and 0 bids for Auba/Morata/Belotti), it makes me wonder if we are legitimately going to try Bats as our striker OR if they think Diego is staying.

I guess there could be a third option and the club has some mystery signing we haven't been linked with yet. Still, the reality is we've been linked with a lot of players but we aren't submitting actual bids or anything. Just makes me think there is some other plan.
