Rodri should have about 3 yellows.

Not that it matters but I don’t get it. Kicks Kovacic in the chest with a high boot and just takes down Pulisic from behind and nothing from Anthony Taylor.

How is that not a foul against Pulisic? He scythed down Cancelo.

Thought this match started at 12:30. Needless to say, bummed I’ve missed the fireworks!

Essentially, I was wondering if he'll ever be given the time he'll need to have that success before they make a move.

It's only normal that he'd need more time than Mourinho, Ancelotti, or Conte to win despite the squad he's given due to his inexperience. If it were a manager of their experience and they were given the current squad, a serious title challenge would be expected, I'm guessing.

Will he get a few years as long as he keeps them in the Champions League? Will that be enough? I'd assume they know that it could could take this season and the next without a trophy of any kind—would they wait that long given the current investment?

Personally, I'd miss seeing his utter annoyance on the touchline. Today you had the most consistently annoyed looking manager, Lampard, and the most consistently bored manager, Dean Smith.

Never got a response on this from one of the Chelsea lads—curious what you think.

haven't watched much Chelsea this year, but has Lampard tried playing 2 up top with Werner + Giroud, try to emulate a bit of Werner with Leipzig and Poulsen?

TBH Kreb I don't think anyone knows.

I know Brahv loves Lamps and of course I do too but this job was/is too big for him. As crazy as it sounds Chelsea is probably the 3rd toughest gig in club footy behind Real and Barca when it comes to pressure on the manager. To succeed you need to extremely savy when it comes to tactics and it's not a huge knock on Frank considering his lack of experience.

Last year's 4th finish was a little bit of fools gold. Had Maddison, their Turkish CB, Perreira, etc... not had gotten hurt Leicester would have finished 3rd and our whole season could have had a different outlook depending on who would have gotten the 4th spot.

When the job came open after Sarri was sacked I wanted Brendan Rodgers. Despite how it ended at Liverpool he's ready for another big club not too mention he has history at Chelsea considering Mourinho gave him his first big shot.

Why is it that Hudson-Odoi features so rarely? He has done more in 3 minutes than most have all game.

I actually never knew this until I read it in The Mixer, or his traveling around Spain studying possession-based football.

His hire always seemed poorly timed. Yes, they had the transfer ban, but I'm surprised they didn't try and hire someone that you'd expect to essentially be a caretaker manager. Lampard with another season in the Championship, or even a few in the PL would give him the experience he needed for an inevitable offer by Chelsea.

I'm also not entirely convinced that the transfers this year have helped Lampard, but instead maybe hurt him by having to figure out how the hell to utilize these players? There seemed to be a bit, maybe a bit of the Man United strategy in terms of buying players because they could?

                            Didn't cost enough?

                            I kid.

I just can’t see them sacking Frank just yet. It’s always a problem when you hire a club legend for manager. Never understood it but I think they give him the season to sort it out.

Injured by the corner flag. Now I've seen everything.
