£13 million for one of the best keepers in the world and £17.5 million for a keeper that, if everything works out, can be United's keeper for the next 10-15 years.
    Not bad, just silly, haha.

I'm not arguing the price for De Gea is too much, but as I mentioned earlier, Bayern are stealing Neuer. Possibly the best keeper in the world, not even on the market, and a keeper is such a commodity. There are of course bargaining advantages for Bayern such as Neuer wanting to leave and his contract close to expiring, but it's still crazy to see him go for that low. It really is.

United are not paying too much, as they're investing for the future. Schalke are just getting far too little.

I did notice that he has 50-some appearances for A. Madrid the last two seasons, so I'm sure he's played in Europe a bit. But United ain't A. Madrid. We'll see if he can handle it right away.

One thing's for sure. This sets a market where Arsene will lowball everyone in his search for a keeper - again.

He won't be looking for a keeper this Summer. SZCZ is the #1 at this point.

Whether or not I agree with that is a different story, but he's not in the market for a keeper. CB, yes. ST, yes.

Really? I thought he was still going to try to find someone this summer.

I don't see it happening. It could, but I'm just not sure. With the amount of players that seem set to leave, we'll definitely have some cash to spend, so it'll be interesting to see if we bring in the same amount or not.

If we do sign a keeper, I think it should be someone who only plays for a few more years and loan out SZCZ. Basically, Man City and Joe Hart. That is the only kind of situation I'd want to see. Despite how awful our keepers have played at times, a huge portion of it is the defense playing in front of them.

This would be interesting to see if it went through. Arsene loves him some Frenchmen.

I was just going to say, this story is starting to get legs. As skeptical as I was when I first heard it, the trip to London by the agent as well as Real openly saying they're listening to offers says something is in the air. Not to mention, when was the last time Arsene publicly declared an interest in a player? Oh, and he's French.

Definitely something to keep an eye on.

No idea where to put this, so I'll put it here since it's transfer related.

Craig Bellamy, yes, that Craig Bellamy is apparently the favorite to be Cardiff's new manager. Say what? Yeah, crazy.

Yohan Cabaye set to sign with Newcastle.

I would pay money to see that happen. The entertainment possibilities are endless.

If it does, I really really really want to see them in the PL.

Sevilla signs Martin Caceres permanently from Barcelona after a good loan spell.

Chelsea Defender Michael Mancienne is of to Hamburg for 3 million.

Good piece of bussines for Chelsea. MM was never good enough for Stamford Bridge and barely showed he was worth a spot in Wolves' team.

Yes! I can see it now: "Craig Bellamy challenges all Championship managers to fistfights to determine winners instead of actual matches." It's just too bad Keane got sacked from Ipswich...
