Arsene Wenger admits Arsenal have taken a gamble on Joel Campbell, but he believes it is worth it.

Saw this on Sky Sports web site, is this a done deal?

I assume he needs a work permit. The deal can't be made official until that is completed.

BBC reporting that Nasri to Man City is close to being done.

For most likely + £20 million for a player in the last year of his contract.

Time to spend some money, Arsene.

Valencia have apparently turned down a bid from Chelsea for Juan Mata and say they're asking for £26 million.

I know a club with some money who should offer that...

Nah you will sign a 15 year old wonderkid from the Allsvenskan League in Sweden next. You wait and see. You guys must have enough youth players to have 5 youth squads.

Our academy really is brilliant and I love that we put such focus on it, but if we combined that with the occasional and proper purchase of an experienced player, I think everyone would agree we would've won something by now.

Also, I just read this morning about just how hard and long one must work in our academy to make it out. Frimpong played 79 youth/reserve games before making it onto the first team. It's great to see players stick with it for that long, knowing they could go somewhere else and play on a first team.

Anyway, I don't think we sign anymore youth this window. The question is do we sign anyone else.

That's one of the most disgraceful things I've ever seen. But will make for some must-see TV come February.

The funny part, Adebayor left Arsenal where he had a first team spot and he goes to City where he has gone out on loan twice now.

He's not stupid enough to do it again.

It was really great to see the FA step up and punish him for it, as players have a responsibility and can control such things.

Also, in the same game he truly became a villan with the blatant stamp on RVP's face. He was an *** before that, but that truly put it in context.

                          There's a reason he's name is Moneybayor.

If it happens, then it's another reason for league title or door for Mancini.
