Not sure if this helps, but going through the Broncos depth chart and it's all messed up.

Broncos
WR Isaiah McKenzie needs his number changed to #84
RT Allen Barbre is competing for a starting job at RG and should be moved accordingly
LG Connor McGovern should be moved to C
RG Billy Turner should be moved to RG
RT Ty Sambrailo should be moved to LT
LE DeMarcus Walker should be moved to LOLB
ROLB Quentin Gause should be moved to MLB
FS Justin Simmons should be moved to SS
SS Will Parks should be moved to FS
FS Jamal Carter should be moved to SS
SS Orion Carter should be moved to FS

That's pretty ridiculous. Maybe the upcoming patch will fix some of that? If not, that could really be damaging to roster creators as a whole.

Even more problems... seriously, how do they mess this up so bad.

Add WR Hunter Sharp (he was in the last madden, not in this one)
LT Donald Stephenson should be moved to RT

this worryed me what i will do monday night is count the FA in play now and tell u how many caps u have to work with last year it was 104 on the aug update

Just start a Cfm and import the current roster save. It will tell you how many players are on the roster. 2971 was the maximum allowed on M17.

OK it was like pulling teeth trying to find ways around the bugs and glitches they currently have but I was able to get an update out tonight. I only had like 20 mins. remaining afterward of the trial version so I'm hoping tomorrow releases a major update once the game is fully unlocked.

Seattle's offensive line is a bit of a cluster at the moment and Odhiambo will be on thin ice as the season starts. He's currently #3 on the team's depth chart immediately in competition with Joe Williams for backup duties. He's not perfected but he's one of the primary reasons I was able to figure out some of the glitches and bugs in the roster editing on M18. * Several depth charts still need to be fixed however all of the QB, RB, WR and TE depth charts I believe I fixed tonight. If I missed anything let me know. * Several players had helmets and equipment adjusted to what they've worn the past 2 weeks in pre-season including RB Christian McCaffrey, QB Joshua Dobbs, MLB Jaylon Smith, TE George Kittle, RB DeMarco Murray and several others. I will be doing this throughout the season like I always do.

Awesome, will have to download tomorrow when I get up, got the game at 9 PM EST at GameStop, weird they released the GOAT edition that early.

Depth charts are weird, for 49ers anyway, Thomas at DT(is at RE), Buckner at RE(is a DT), Dumervil, Lynch & Armstead at RE(Should be LE for the LEO spot in the new 4-3 under scheme, similar to the Seahawks defense, since Robert Saleh is DC). Just some weird things I noticed.
