Historical lineups throughout the years, both on offense and defense.

Now that's just the bills but you could google something like historical starting lineups cowboys, etc...

Thanks

Re: The Greatest All-Time Rosters Ever

Comc.com is a card site that lets you flip the card and read the back.

Stadium club 91 and 92 and 90s bowman have the best player tendency stuff. You get equipment, stats, and possible tendencies from these cards. Very underrated resource. With a lack of preview magazines and such, this is one of the most reliable and easier way to get top notch research.

You get a little dose of nostalgia, too, if you’re from an age when sports trading cards mattered. You’ll probably be tasting that chalky, disgusting, and rock hard chewing gum that used to come complimentary in the packs.

Its a good resource. I googled 99% of the players and found pictures of each player while they were playing in actual games to determine what players accessories to use. It also gave solid foundation for body types, etc...

My bad, dude for knee jerking on your rosters. I was playing with the wrong setup. Gonna give em another go tomorrow with don croppers pro setup. Tomorrow when im done, i’ll come on here and eat crow. You see these high-rated rosters so much, I get annoyed by them, but if don and HC are touting them with the pro default setup, they have to be good. You’ve figured out a new system. I’ll give you guys tonight to prepare the crow. Is it cool if i skip the breast and thigh and just have legs?

Its cool, we all have different opinions and I do understand what you were saying. I know a 99 speed is actually 3.9- 4-10 40 yd time which is way to fast, but I discovered a while back somehow the game was too easy for me in default All-Madden. Its not that I win all the time against the cpu because I don’t and I prefer not to but I like competition and sometimes the game goes into cheat mode which is a whole new issue.
If I created classic teams instead of All-Time rosters the ratings would be different because most classic teams only had a few top tier players. My 94 49ers would have Steve Young, Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders are the only high 90’s guys and everyone else would be 80’s or lower.
What we all need to do is band together and create a stir with Electronic Arts so they are not giving us garbage year in year out! No excuse for not taking full advantage of being the single company with the NFL license!
Hopefully they will get it together.
I told Don today about Ryan Moody’s post on YouTube regarding how and who rates the players for Madden. Very interesting and actually disappointing at the same time. Once you look at his video it makes you kinda upset with EA’s lack of professionalism!

Re: The Greatest All-Time Rosters Ever

Just sent a PM to a dude that was on here earlier in the year, his username is apollo1980. He was hired to do rosters for Front Page Sports Football, but the company had problems, and he never got to work with them and they quit making the game. Despite the cancellation of the game, FPS Football is still hailed as one of the best football video games ever. Madden copied a lot of ratings stuff from this game, among other things.this was my first experience with cpu mode because i didnt have a controller and had no other choice. Someone questioned Apollo1980 on here, and he posted an article from one of the old PC game mags where he was interviewed.

I’d say him and playmakers would probably be the ratings czars and Asante the gear czar. I have playmakers email, talk to him once a month or so to see if he’s transferred that all-90s roster—he said he’s shooting for super bowl weekend. He’s mentioned getting a collaboration like this together with all the roster makers.

Don, was it you that mixed Playmakers classic roster and my classic roster together? Maybe it was you that was always looking for it. Mick-something, a ND fan, i think it was him that mixed it. That was a pretty cool experiment.

Ive never been a trucker, but i worked a mail route, i kinda understand the big truck driver’s plight, and doing these rosters is a lot like big truck driving cross country alone, the road really gets to you after a while. And it gets tough to finish and push through. We get a Roster Crew like this going on all the systems, nobody misses out on anything.

One last thing about being able to port rosters next year—
The key to getting things in the game is Twitter and tweeting Clint and having people like the tweets and making comments, but you have to compliment the game, too. Just say one nice thing before you ask or comment.

That injury banner that pops up, that was my suggestion on there. I wishlisted a sideline reporter that’d give updates, but asked for a message to pop up. They gave us the red banner and it was pretty quick, too. The next patch. That tweet got no likes and they still used the idea. That twitter stuff works, even when it doesn’t become popular. They’ve used a couple more suggestions, too. Smaller things.

If it’s a solid idea, and it’s doable, they seem to listen on Twitter. If this got quite a few likes about the porting created rosters from year to year, we might get it in. I simply don’t know the complexity of this on the computer end. Also wish you could share between all platforms. Would love some of the PS4 guys stuff. Only reason i bought an xbox one was because playmakers said he was and i wanted to be able to get his rosters.

Sorry for the length of this. Just kinda excited I won’t be that big truck driver going cross country anymore.

Re: The Greatest All-Time Rosters Ever

May I suggest an All-Time roster of each franchises best players since the 1970 merger?

So only include players who started their careers after the 1970 merger with possible exceptions for players who maybe played in the late 60’s but played the majority of their careers in the 70s or later ( example: Alan Page).

I have always wanted to play a roster like this .

This project you guys are attempting sounds incredible and I can’t wait to try the rosters. I registered for the site and I’m heading out today to buy madden 19 for PS4 entirely because of this thread. My first post!
