Re: Statistics and Sliders_Oraeon

I am getting very interesting results particularly with regards to pass coverage and reaction sliders which appear useless. Wondering if there is any critique of the testing or suggestions?

Re: Statistics and Sliders_Oraeon

I have seen a suggestion that the pass coverage slider is for zone coverage and the interception slider is more about man-to-man. And actually catching interceptions is more tied to the wr catching slider.

I've seen someone say that a raised dpi will increase db aggressiveness. These are theories I haven't tested out yet, but they could be suggestions for you. Especially with the analytical way you are looking at this. I'm extremely interested to see your results

Oraeon1224, are you doing all your testing in Practice, Play Now or CFM?

Very interesting data you are compiling here.

Thanks!

My main purpose is to create information on how sliders work and a base set I use. This helps others adjust sliders to get the results they want.

FIRST SET OF SLIDERS:

Difficulty: All Pro
Quarter length: 13 minutes
Play clock time: 20 seconds
Injuries: 55
Fatigue: 55
Speed Threshold: 50 (this stat had a lot of effects in NCAA leaving alone for now)

Offside: 85 (goal ~1-2 per side per game)
False start: 85 (goal ~2 per side per game)
Holding: 70 (goal ~2 per side per game)
Facemask: 55 (goal 1-2 per game both sides)
Defensive PI: Doesn't appear to work yet again EA
Offensive PI: Doesn't appear to work yet again EA
KR/PR: 50 (fairly rare in NFL)
Clipping: 55 (1 per game I consider this block in the back as well)
Intentional grounding: 60 (0-1 per game)
Roughing the passer: 60 (1 per side per game)
Roughing the kicker: 60 (0-1 per game)

Player/CPU
QB accuracy: 10/23
Pass blocking: 50/50 (Goal 2-3 sacks per game; doesn't appear to work)
WR catching: 43/43 (GOAL 3-5 drops per game per side)
Run blocking: 50/56 (GOAL 4-5 YPC for HB, 3-4 TFL/game)
Fumbles: 30/30 (Goal 0-1 fumbles per side per game; at least 1 for whole game)
Reaction Time: 50/50
Interceptions: 27/27 (Goal 1-2 INT per side per game)
Tackling: 31/31 (goal 3-5 missed per game against HBs)
FG Power: 50/50
FG accuracy: 40/40
Punt Power: 50/50
Punt Accuracy: 50/50
Kickoff Power: 55/55
I will give this a try, also I see you don't have pass coverage listed, is it also set to 50?

Updated sliders. If you have questions regarding your own version of this set please feel free to post and I will try to help you make adjustments.

Re: Statistics and Sliders_Oraeon

My initial slider set is ready for in game testing. I am sure it is awful so use at your own risk. However, if you follow the slider rules I have uncovered it isn't that hard to adjust the AI's game...your game is a different matter.

I recommend not spending too much time copying my sliders but rather start with this set and then adjust according to the rules to get realistic stats for your style of gameplay.
