I've been asked many times if I was doing a set this year and decided to work in conjunction with Armor & Sword. He gets full credit for developing the base sliders and I am posting the tweaks/changes that I have made to his set.

TNK - NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS FRANCHISE

Week #1 - New England Patriots (0-0) @ Miami Dolphins (0-0)

The Patriots drove right down the field on the games opening drive and Shane Vereen took a screen from Brady 23 yard for a TD to make it 7-0. The teams traded field goals early in the 2nd quarter and New England had a 10-3 lead. Ryan Tannehill led Miami on a very good drive late in the 2nd quarter that was finished off with a 2 yard TD run by Lamar Miller to tie the game at 10-10. Both defenses were playing well as the first half would come to a close with the score tied at 10-10.

The Defenses continued to dominate in the 3rd quarter as neither offense was able to generate much until New England moved the ball late in the quarter but the drive would stall in the red zone and Gostkowski hit a chip shot FG to give the Patriots a 13-0 lead. The Patriots defense forced another 3 & out by Miami to start the 4th quarter and Gostkowski tacked on another field goal after their drive stalled in the red zone again giving New England a 16-10 lead with 6:01 remaining. The Dolphins got the ball with under 6:00 to play and were able to move across midfield as they had the ball at the Patriots 36 yard line as we hit the 2 minute warning setting the stage for a fantastic finish to this great game. The Dolphins needed to find the end zone as they trailed 16-10 with 2:00 to play and the Patriots defense forced Miami in to a 4th & 5 with 1:42 to play. Dolphins coach Joe Philbin decided not to go for a 53 yard field goal in to a 14 mph wind and made the decision to punt the ball and trust his defense to stop the Patriots offense and get the ball back. Brandon Fields pinned the Patriots deep at their own 9 yard line and New England would take over with 1:38 remaining and Miami had all 3 time outs at their disposal. The Patriots ran the ball twice and Miami used 2 of their timeouts setting up a 3rd & 2 with 1:28 to play and New England would pick up a huge 1st down as Ridley was able to bust through the line for a gain of 5. The Patriots took the game over and blew open one more hole as Brandon Bolden broke loose for a 13 yard gain on 1st down and that would be the game as Brady would kneel on the ball and run out the clock as the Patriots earn a very hard fought win to open the season.

* The Patriots win a tough game as they battle the heat & humidity in Miami and come away with a 16-10 victory to open the season

* This game was a joy to watch as both defenses played great and the yards and points were tough to come by in this one.

* Tom Brady was solid as he completed 23 for 35 against a tough Miami defense for 217 yards and a TD

* Rob Gronkowski returned to action after tearing his ACL last season and looked good as he caught 6 balls for 92 yards

* Shane Vereen had a good day out of the Patriots backfield as he ran 17 times for 69 yards and also caught 4 balls for 38 yards and a TD on a screen pass

* Lamar Miller had 68 yards on 17 carries with a TD for the Dolphins

* The Patriots defense got great pressure on Tannehill and recorded 5 sacks with Ninkovich and Wilfork each registering 2 sacks

* The Patriots will stay on the road next week as they take on the Vikings in Minnesota

Played my first game using your set. Good game, I won in a overtime period of which my opponent and myself had 3 drives each. Ill post stats tomorrow.

TNK, I've been using your sliders for a couple of years now in The Show, and I've LOVED them, so I had to give these a try to start my CFM.

Really good game with an end result surprisingly close to the actual game, but achieved in very different ways.


I won't go in depth , but I did love the feel of the game. Romo was sharp: 29 for 34 for 242 yards and 2TDs (no INTs)
Meanwhile, Kaep didn't quite have as strong a game, but had it when it mattered most: 18 of 29 for 162 yards, with 7 runs for 50 yards and a TD run.


Frank Gore was the star of the game, with 157 yards on 23 carries, compared to DeMarco Murray's 39 yards on 10 carries.


Also worth noting Romo was sacked 5 times in the game, including once in the 4th Qtr while the Cowboys were trying to drive that resulted in a fumble return for a TD by Justin Smith, as well as Romo being knocked out of the game with an injury.


Overall I was very pleased with the feel of the game. I never QUITE "pulled away" until after the Romo sack/fumble, but the 'Boys never lead after it was 7-3.
Looking forward to the next game and seeing how everything shakes out!

I droppeed QB Accuracy to 9 (down 1 from where Armor & Sword has it set) because I wanted to have just that 1 or 2 more throws a game where my QB completely misfires his throw in to the feet of a receiver

Yes I believe that's real to life because even the best QBs miss from time to time. I was don't want them to miss passes they shouldn't. Do they still end up with good completion percentages?
