Just finished an incredible coach mode game, default all pro.

BUF @ TB (me)

Was up 28-14. BUF came back and tied it. I had the ball down in the redzone and BUF had no timeouts. I had uptempo on to run clock and called FG but the quick clock accelerated to 0:00 (Doh!)

Went into OT and BUF won the toss and took the ball. We held them to 3 then Jameis lead a great drive to get us a TD and the 34-31 win

D. Martin went for 127 yards on 25 carries. Jameis tossed 3 picks and Cassel tossed 2

Just been doing random team selection and playing as the weaker of the 2 teams. Just loading up MIN @ JAX (me)

I'm thinking default all-pro is the way to go. I bumped up the penalty settings to all 55 but everything else is default. And I must say I played a game and it was the first time in a long time I felt like I was actually watching a game. When you see the box score below you will say I need to adjust my sliders but every Sunday there are games like this and that is what was so awesome about this. As you can see this game was a defensive battle until the 4th quarter when Kaep was Kaep.

I quit messing with sliders years ago. I'd go through the slider forum and see people still tweaking and testing their slider sets 6 months after launch. Screw that. If it doesn't play well enough for me on default All Pro then I move on to another game.

Here's the thing - I don't expect or even NEED Madden to be an exact simulation of what I see on Sundays, as long as it's a reasonable facsimile. If there's some statistical quirk, it's just going to have to be the norm in my Madden universe.

Agree but I only play now. CFM ratings boost are screwing the gameplay for me. Low rated qb playing extremely good because their qb rating goes to 99
