People have talked about how play now is different than cfm, i think this is a big reason. The momentum meter doesn’t go haywire in play now games like it does in CFM. I think it has to do with XP. Turning XP to 0 helps, but the game still recognizes achievements for XP and that’s when there’s back to back pick 6’s and a blocked punt and all of a sudden a 13-6 game is not 34-6. I know it happens in life, but not as much as it happens in Madden.

Probably wont play madden until it comes to EA Access. First time that’s ever happened. All the patches should be done by then.

I wouldn't worry about an unfair advantage. I'm currently 0-4 with the Raiders.

Tommy is a cpu vs cpu coachmode genius . I have learned a lot thanks to him about this game .

Thanks for all of your hard work over the years. I have to say, I believe we are often too preoccupied with creating a "real life" experience in a virtual world... for what it's worth, I am content with virtual "suspended disbelief" to help enjoy a game... I use to be that guy who never finished a season due to changing sliders, settings, etc....i then began to realize I was missing out on a fun experience in a virtual world. I have been playing this game on PC and I'm having a ball with CPU v. CPU...it really plays a nice game of football and its beautiful graphically.
I personally will miss your work. I hope to see you back soon because your work is brilliant.

I’m with you on the suspension of disbelief. That’s why i prefer classic rosters. With classic rosters, i don’t expect correct TFLs or stats or any sack numbers because stats would be skewed with all those legends on the field. Also the game plays better on 9 minute quarters. So i have to run with it.

I keep suspending and suspending, bend and breaking to enjoy the game, but this controller not being in the middle thing is a deal breaker.

Sometimes the momentum doesn’t show as bad. Seems to happen more with teams that are on losing streaks. It’s just too over the top. It happens too consecutive. Then the rest of the game is close on the field. The stats are close. It’s just that 21 point swing that happens either in the middle of the second quarter or starting the third quarter.

Gonna try one last thing. Gonna turn even teams on in main menu. Maybe it will carry over to cfm and counter attack the controller not being in the middle. Just hope i have games that aren’t too close every time out.

Turned Even Teams ON in Main Menu and loaded sliders into cfm and Liked what I seen. Run game looks smoother, more penalties, my game was a 44-23 game, a blow out but was fun to watch regardless. This was with classic rosters, HC’s trying them with modern customized rosters and liking what he’s seeing. Playing default all pro 9 minute quarters, no runoff, all assists off. One change, injuries at 24 in MM and CFM. Everything else default. Playbooks and all.

Playing these with classic all time rosters and throwing stats out the window. But with modern rosters, i think there may be hope. Got to test the even teams more, but that one game looked good. Mainly because it wasn’t close and the cowboys knew the pass was coming at the end and stopped it. Not but 1 sack taken by the cards.= when they were trailing and trying to rally but failing. Their qb was scared 4 times, Staubach sacked 3. 7 total which is realistic. Cardinals didntjust lay down and lose either. They moves the ball in spurts when they were down, just couldnt finish. Nothing gimmicky. Felt legit.

Almost feels like turning Even Teams On really turns Even Teams Off. It’s just one game. More to come. Will try some later with modern rosters. Just want to enjoy this classic set. Feels like this may be what Ive been looking for.

That's the spirit. Let us know exactly everything you're doing, difficultly, slider, and mode wise. I actually found a balance under arcade mode. Sim mode the offense was too weak. Rarely scored in the end zone.
